May 1, 2003 -- President Bush's wild ride onto the deck of an aircraft carrier today will be a hair-raising experience - even for the former fighter pilot.

"He'll be coming down onto an area the size of a football field at 130 mph with the after-burners going," said Jim Buren, a 30-year Navy veteran with the Virginia-based Flight Safety Foundation. "That's quite an experience."

I understand that Tom Dasshole wanted the same ride but had to be turned down when it was determined that the aircraft could not accomodate his "Lil' Tyke" car seat.

"[Bush] will be quite impressed,"

After he puts his eyes back in his head from the landing. Bush has balls.

Yes, you said as much on the other thread. Other than an in-flight emergency, what would be the harm? He's going to address the troops and the nation tonight. I think it's a great way for him to spend time with his warriors.

"He'll be coming down onto an area the size of a football field at 130 mph with the after-burners going,".

We need a congressional investigation. A warplane that can only do 130 m.p.h. with after-burners on?

"a stupid...dangerous...publicity stunt"

Not true.

A carefully calculated plan which will have the world glued to their collective TV screens and help insure GWB's re-election.

Perhaps this will make Kerrey, Sharpton , Pelosi, Daschel, Edwards, Lieberman, and democRats yet unborn take a ride on the space shuttle. Say, to Mars?

Bare up MC, and stay tuned.
