One of the sad facts of this case is that Price is the highest paid state employee in Alabama. Even the governor doesn't make as much as this dude. Price probably didn't read the Alabama rule book and realize that morals are part of the overall conduct expected. Price should have been smarter...but oh well.

Supposedly she charged it to the room. But I don't think for one minute it was a set up.

If it was, why would he leave her there to go and play golf?

Nah, he left her there because he wanted to.

All Price is claiming is that he doesn't remember how she got there.

The friend is claiming the set up.

But it obviously wasn't. :-)

"Of course none of you moralists would do anything like that being away from home,by your self, living in a motel."

Are you a Clinton apologist? Hillary was out of town and Bill was only lonely. ????

Moralists? The guy is married. I assume he made a promise... In your world, let's say he broke a contract. Was he right or wrong in breaking a contract with his wife?

Of course none of you ammoralists would do anything like keep a promise (contract).

RESPONSIBILITY. If he was scammed it was because he put himself in the position to be scammed!!

For taking out the garbage and letting her have the remote for a while my wife strips for me.

I'm sure this guy is going to be gone regardless of what he may have signed or not signed. It just blows me away that a guy would work hard his whole life to get a job like this then blow it because of a $1000 credit card payment to a hooker. Unbelievable!!

I wonder if this is the same woman? She was quoted in the Pensecola newspapers. (The dancer in the club.)

But supposedly the one from the room was arrested on fraud charges.

But the one from the club wasn't, and she speaks glowingly of him.

Have to wonder if there were two women. You know, some women will dance topless, but they won't have sex for cash.

If the girl from the bar had been the one arrested, I can't imagine her speaking so highly of him.

RE # 48: Sherrell has the ability to be a good coach. We at Auburn are happy we are not the ones that screwed up this time. Bama was high and mighty for so many years, but what goes around comes around. Perhaps this is what happened.

The NCAA has been out here snooping around the football players. Sherrill may be in hot water.

But it's just sex. Isn't that what the liberals said about Clinton?

(I'm sure others have said this, but I've got to vent):

So liberals think it's OK for the man leading the country, inspiring children,
and leading the US Military, as well as having control of the "nuclear football"...
if he screws around...that's OK.

A guy running a mere football program at a public university (albeit
a storied one) or a basketball program...
If they screw/mess around...it's the occupational death sentence?

Where are the liberals trying to help save these guys' jobs?

And the Iowa State coach is probably next..

He might weather his storm...or get a great separation package.
He suffers from alcoholism and maybe sex addiction...conceivably grounds
for all sorts of protections/benefits from the American With Disabilities Act.

Thank goodness we have Eustachy and the Bama couch to give us a little news
variety from the Laci Peterson case!

I'm not defending what he did but feel it's totally being blown out of proportion. Again, not being SEC is the reason.

Since Bear Bryant has been gone, how many of the 7 coaches they hired have been hired from the SEC? Go ahead, we'll wait for you...

Of course, the answer is either one or none, depending on how you look at it.

The reason he was fired is the reason stated: His conduct off the field has broken trust with the University and is conduct completely unbecoming of one who is the highest paid employee of the University system.

I am much more disgusted by the really stupid people given 4 year full rides to colleges because they can play a game. The coach and waste of money on women is nothing compared to the millions wasted on some of these NFL and NBA prospects that cannot even speak clearly."

I am with you ... this whole obsession with Football is undermining the College's core mission of education.

I realize that in Alabama football is a religion, but feel that because Price is not SEC, he never had a chance.

I must disagree on this count. If you will recall, Dennis Franchione was loved and respected by almost all UA fans prior to his ugly departure. He certainly wasn't an SEC coach before.
