Israeli dead, 2 hurt in roadside shooting
By MARGOT DUDKEVITCH
A man was killed, his six-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old hitchhiker seriously wounded, when terrorists shot at their vehicle as they traveled in the West Bank near Shvut Rahel northeast of Ramallah on Monday night.
A passing motorist picked up the girl and 20-year-old and took them to the Gitit roadblock in the north Jordan Valley and alerted the authorities. The two were treated by Magen David Adom teams, who said the girl suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and the 20-year-old a gunshot wound in the jaw.
A Magen David spokesman said the two were airlifted to Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem. Meanwhile, security forces who reached the site of the attack found the vehicle riddled with ten bullet holes lying in a field at the roadside and began searching the area for the girl's father, who had been driving the car.
Approximately an hour after he was found by soldiers, his condition was described as critical. According to initial reports he apparently attempted to set out for the nearby community when he collapsed. A Magen David team who reached the site were forced to pronounce his death. Security forces are searching for the perpetrators; it is not clear if the attack was a drive-by shooting or a roadside ambush.
The attack occurred shortly before 10pm as the three headed north on the road that leads to Rimonim, Kohav Hashahar and Gitit.
Last November Esther Galia, a mother of seven, was shot and killed in a terrorist shooting in the same area as she drove home. Next article

Such a wonderful "people". They truly deserve a state. Wait a minute, they have one! Why do they want two, or is that three? Jordan, Palestine and Israel.
One people - Three countries.

This story must be a mistake. The Palestinians have a cabinet that is dedicated to stopping terrorism. Abu Mazen is the second coming of Gandhi and the Dalai Lama combined. This has to be Zionist propoganda. (Sarcasm off)

More Details On Fatal Shooting Attack
(IsraelNN.com) A father and daughter left the Gush Shilo area picking up a hitchhiker and then driving towards the Alon Road. Gunfire was directed at them between Shvut Rachel and the Alon Road with ten bullets hitting the vehicle.
A female motorist found the vehicle as she drove by and saw two persons wounded by gunfire. She managed to get them into her vehicle and drove them to the Gitit Checkpoint for assistance, in the direction of the Jordan Valley. The two were treated by an army physician and other emergency medical personnel -- eventually flown by an army chopper to the trauma unit of Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
The father of the girl apparently got out of the vehicle, mortally wounded, trying in desperation to make his way back to Shvut Rachel on foot to summon assistance for his daughter and passenger. His lifeless body was found in the brush between the shooting location and the entrance of Shvut Rachel. Resuscitation efforts on the scene were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.

Exactly. They have Jordan, but they desperately want more and more...what they really want is the annihalation of Israel.

Whatever makes these cowardly scum think this raises sympathy for their "cause" ? I hope Israel takes out Hamas headquarters in a big way.

Since Jordan was traded away to buy peace from the Palestinians for the Jews, I would say it is time to get Jordan back, forget giving them another Jordan for the peace they did not deliver back then.

They are so brave ... imagine using automatic weapons to attack a 6-yr. old girl.
I don't think I've ever seen such "valour."

I actually believe it has nothing specifically to do with Israel. The religious totalitarians that run the terror operations attack and kill everyone and anyone within their reach. Israel is just the closest to their home base. But the only difference between their actions there and elsewhere - Chechnya, Yugoslavia, Suda, Algeria, Afghanistan, Indonesia, India, and more - is a degree of intensity.

Arafat and others in leadership positions in the middle east let the genie out of the bottle when they removed restrictions on the terrorists within their organizations.....the blame lies squarely at their feet.....they can not stop terrorism now and have made themselves irrelevant to any peace process....

I actually believe it has nothing specifically to do with Israel. Do you read the news? Have you ever seen Al-Jazeera? Arabs seem to be convinced that the root of the problem in the Middle East is in that tiny strip of land on the Mediterranean, about the size of New Jersey, aka Israel.
My eleven year old son just summed it up as I sat here typing this. "Dad, it's not so much that the Arabs want the land that is now recognized as Israel, it's that they want the Jews to be gone."
Couldn't have said it better myself.
