I thought this letter to the editor was really great until I got down to the writer's age. Then I thought it was fantastic. I wish this kid could see his letter posted here and know how much support is behind him.

Sounds like Billy is quite a guy, especially for a 16 year old. I never would have guessed his age from the style and demeanor of the letter.
I envision Nancy Shinn (the brainwashed peta-freak) as a haggard, sexless troll, however.

Do humans have the right to kill and eat critters....of course, what is the next question, please? Do you want double fries with that order?

Good article. He could have added recent finding by historical anthropologists who found that mankind's health deteriorated after shifting from hunter to farmer and their lifespan shortened. A veggie diet is not healthful. You can get by in today's world because you can get the variety necessary to sustain life and also vitamin supplements.
Also, the Atkins diet, which is loaded with meat, has come back into respectability. even Consumer reports has reported it may be effective - where before they were totally against it. It will just confirm what the scientists have said about early man's diet. Meat is good for you.

Bet she is going to hate the fact he is just 16 years old and has more sense in his little finger than she does!

Excellent peice, reminds me of another young writer, Kyle Williams, I think the two complement eachother rather well.

Do humans have the right to kill and eat other species? Hope so... otherwise, we'll die. You see, plants are species too. If you scratch plants and animals off the list of things we can eat, I get real hungry, real fast!

If God did not want us to eat animals, she would not have made them out of meat.

An outstanding post. A perfect example of how a properly educated teenager can think circles around the average college-educated liberal.

Billy, if you can make a living for a family at raising cattle (cow/calf) on a ranch today, I commend you. It isn't easy after you subtract the expenses.
My family had a cow/calf operation for over 100 years, but the taxman finally took it away,

Bob, on the left, used to fall timber 'till his body gave out. I'm on the right.
That fish had 2 dozen anchovies in it's gut.
Part of the 24# fish is now in our guts.
Yeah, PETA, right...
