Pentagon: Mobile Bioweapons Lab Found in Iraq
Just a breaking news banner on FoxNews front page. Nothing follows. I didn't see this posted yet, if it has been, please yank this thread.
Nothing follows. This is becoming a pattern. Some source announces something like "sarin found!" Then, later, a retraction. It was a concrete garden gnome, or squeeze bottles filled with tanning butter, or barrels full of greek olives or something. Later, another announcement. Mustard gas! Oh, wait, we meant mustard, as in, goopy yellow stuff you eat it on your hot dog.
Yes, you can buy them at almost any fastfood outlet.

WASHINGTON American forces in Iraq are doing tests on a trailer that matches the description of a mobile biological weapons lab, the Pentagon said Wednesday.
It was the first time the Defense Department has announced it might have evidence of the sort of prohibited unconventional weapons program that justified going to war with Iraq and toppling Saddam Hussein's regime

hm are there any bioweapons in the USA?I don't know. I wouldn't think so, however. We tend to prefer weapons you can target with some degree of precision, weapons with less potential for blowback etc.
Assuming you're not talking about whether terrorists in the US might have some, yes, we have enough of the various organisms for research purposes- mainly developing vaccines and treatments. They do not exist in quantities sufficient to deploy as weapons. Our military R&D, as mentioned earlier in the thread, is centered around a philosophy of precision and proportionality- bioweapons don't fill either requirement.
I see that you're fairly new to the forum. Trolls tend to ask loaded questions like yours and then pounce on any response crying "See! Hypocrite!" or "Imperialist America is no better than a third-world dictator!" or some such drivel. You're not going to do that, are you? You know what we like to do to trolls around here.... don't you?
Unless you count the effects of Texas Chili as a bioweapon then no. America's offensive bioweapons programs were kill in 1969 when we went to an all nuclear WMD response pattern.
Members of a mobile exploitation team examine a suspected mobile biological weapons facility that was recovered by U.S. Forces in northern Iraq in late April, 2003. American forces in Iraq are doing tests on the trailer that matches the description of a mobile biological weapons lab given by various sources including defectors, the Pentagon said Wednesday, May 7, 2003. It was the first time the Defense Department has announced it might have evidence of the sort of prohibited unconventional weapons program that it said justified forcibly disarming Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).
