Liberals have long been blinded by a strange sort of attraction to Communist dictators…going back nearly 100 years. If you want to know the latest chapter in that sorry saga, here’s ‘The Real Deal.’
THROUGHOUT THE DAY Tuesday, Americans watched a drama unfolding in the choppy waters off the Florida coast. Three Cuban refugees seeking the safety of American shores were stopped by a U.S. Coast Guard ship and ordered to give up their dream of reaching America.
After all, that’s the Coast Guard’s job.
But the men resisted Coast Guard efforts, eventually throwing themselves into the ocean to avoid capture. When the Coast Guard officers threw the men life vests, they threw them back. When the exhausted men were thrown ropes to pull themselves to safety, they chose to let go instead. And when the Coast Guard later attempted to save their lives, the men swam away.
Why, you may ask, would these men behave so irrationally, and choose a watery grave to safety aboard a Coast Guard ship? There was, in fact, nothing irrational about these men’s actions: They knew that the punishment for seeking freedom in America, under Fidel Castro, is imprisonment, torture, and death. And any short-term rescue at the hands of the Coast Guard would lead to certain death at the hands of Castro.
Which leads me back to liberals’ love affair with Communist dictators like Fidel Castro.
As you know, we have been investigating Danny Glover’s political views this week-from his infatuation with Fidel Castro, to his blaming America for the 9/11 terror attacks, to his branding of George W. Bush as a “racist.”
For exposing the truth about MCI’s spokesman, Danny Glover’s supporters have branded me a racist. I guess, in Danny Glover’s eyes, that puts me in the company of President Bush. Not bad company to keep.

What is the strange attraction liberals have for Castro. I was expecting more ammunition than I got out of this short blurb about Danny Glover and MCI????
He was booked into a fancy hotel near the UN with his revolutionaries. He was asked to leave that hotel (the story is they had live chickens with them to feed the peasant troops who accompanied the group. More likely is he created an event to force the hotel to ask him to leave).
He moved uptown to the downbeat Hotel Theresa in Harlem around the corner from black nationalist Lewis Michaux's African Memorial Book Store, the Harlem Labor Center and offices of the Black Muslims (he met with Malcolm X during that visit and invited many black revolutionaries to Cuba in the following years).
That visit locked in support for Castro among blacks. Ironic considering Fidel is a racist. While his army is almost all black, the officers are almost all white. One rarely seems a black around Castro even though the majority of Cubans are black.
I'm not sure you're right so I'm going to look further into it.
So, you're saying that because Fidel visited N.Y.C. shortly after the revolution and congressed with blacks, that's why liberals adore him to this day?

Btw I did a search on Glover and MCI, I found tons of others who are writing, calling and cancelling MCI, just as we Freepers are
Liberals love that a socialist is in total control. As far as the leftists are concerned, totalarianism is the only way to secure the "beautiful progress".
Biggest mistake they ever made. For what its worth, IMO, this controversy has put Joe on the map.
Keep name calling, shills of Glover. This is the best advertising MSNBC could ask for.
