Yeah, I loved the part about independent auditors. Kofi must be sweating bullets.

If the UN doesn't lift the sanctions they are going to be exposed to the entire world for what they are. That may not stop them, but I imagine WE will. Oil for Palaces won't be renewed in June. That will leave the sanctions in full force, but I imagine we'll just ignore them and help the Iraqi people get back on their feet. If france, Russia and Germany don't want to participate in the Iraqi market, that's their business.

"I am not always cranky".

Well, I am -- every time the UN is mentioned and I find out we are still in it. :(

Like I said earlier: if it doesn't come in a box, it shouldn't come from the UN. The UN is corrupt and inefficient, and has almost no chance of succeeding in bringing about an Iraqi democracy. This is our mess, and we're going to clean it up.

I'm actually GLAD France/Germany/Russia/the UN made things so difficult for us. If they had gone along with Bush, we might have to let them help us build a new democracy, and the mission would be poisoned from the start.

Abolish the UN, it is irrelevant!
