I firmly believe that too. Her and Bill didn't count on GWB becoming President. They thought Gore would take it and then they would all have control for years and that they could control Gore like a puppet.
Ah ...poor Hillary...the best laid plans of mice and men only in hers and the the dems case...the best laid plans of RATS and men.

I don't care when she runs, she'll never make it. The country simply does not trust her. I could not agree more. People promote Hillary because of her name recognition and her standing with the liberal elite in New York and other liberal bastions, which still manage most of the press.
Hillary Clinton is finished on the national scene (if she ever was there without Bill). The midterm election results were as much of a repudiation of the Clintonizing of the Democratic Party as anything else. The political discourse in America after 9-11 is serious. The electorate wants to see a bipartisan approach to the most serious problems confronting us today. HRC has never been about bipartisan politics and, truth be told, probably lacks the character and personal qualities to operate effectively in that mode.
The Democratic Party will rebound around a more centrist leader who is in touch with the new reality of national politics, but only after a painful lurch to the Left (apparently) under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi. The DNC, which continues to have a tin ear, will struggle mightily until it rebuilds itself around honorable people. The next prominent national Democratic leadership will not include Ms. Clinton or any of her surrogates.

Try to keep in mind that Condi has been with Powell in being the peace party in the administration. As subordinates their performance has been grand but I would not count on her to stand up to NK or China or Putin when she is the head honcho any more than I would Powell. That and her pro-abort stance makes me shiver just a tad. And if she does not come out publicly and strongly converted to pro-life she starts with a huge hole in her Republicahn base which, as a Republican, she cannot make up from black votes.

2008 Rice/Powell vs. Clinton/Sharpton Clinton Sharpton would run away with it. Niether Rice nor Powell can keep the Christian-Republican base without really sincere public conversion on the abortion front. It can be done.
Bush#1 did it.

This is the same Hillary who stood on the Senate floor holding a newpaper in the air that said "Bush Knew!"That H then thought she had the Killer Expose. When she figured out that it was no go she (showing that she is,indeed, the most intelligent Democrat in the world) backed up, took stock and linked arms with W, sort of.
She will be a formidable adversary when she runs. That is why I hope to hell the Crats manage to hustle her into the ring for 2004. She needs to be electorally eliminated ASAP.

"if we allow her to win, we DESERVE her."
TRUE!
I did not think that she would win her Senate seat.
Since that win I have been following her method of operation very closely.
control of passing out campaign contributions
control of the senate with out the leadership title
the manner in which she distanced herself with the pink ladies was interesting.
Armed Service Committee
Homeland security allocating of funds
What did "he" know and When did "he" know it questions, I expect to hear more about this in the upcoming Presidential campaign (Graham - Flordia)
Questions about "her" lifestyle removed from debate with the trashing of Santorum.
Hillary knows that most of the "right" will not vote for her, however, great middle might be seduced into seeing her in a positive light.
Obstructing the Constitution for "advise and consent" of judges can be place directly upon her, hidden behind the veil.
Her continued world travel with the "in name only hubby" meeting with the world's socialist leaders should peek more interest.
Leaks about General Franks investigation most likely came from Armed Services Committee
All the crying around by the "generals" about how "Rummy" was fighting the war
This person got her hubby elected two times, and he himself said that we got two for the price of one. She wants her job back except she won't share the title if she wins.
She knows how to play the game better than any of the other dems, no matter how repulsive most conservatives see her, she is not campaigning for us.
More pressure needs to be put on her sealed papers from college.
The list is endless.
