its going to get pretty busy around here if every severe thunderstorm warning is posted...should probably save it for tornados.

If I'm not mistaken, THIS storm system has spawned several tornados which touched down tonite. The storm system moved about 30 miles South of us around 6:00 this evening. We were traveling, with the radio on. The "Take Cover" warning were numerous, and you could track the path of the storm cells by the warnings.
While I agree that it is going a bit overboard to post every Severe Thunderstorm Warning, this has been a history making, wicked weather week in the Midwest. People are on edge, for very good reason. Let's give them a break, okay?

Thank you, that is why I posted it considering from the touchdown near Quincy and considering this past week. The local news was predicting what these storms could spawn.

Naperville is being pounded right now. With the system coming from the West, the cold front behind it, these storms are all questionable how badly they can turn, thanx!

Thank you! I live 15 min from O'Hare and been watching live doppler on the net, it will be hitting us in about 1/2 hour I'd say, it is coming straight at us from two directions.
I wish others in the tornado warning areas I am posting would read this.
