A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/13/03

President Bush outlines his economic and job growth plan today in a speech at Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Ind. The President used the occasion to condemn the attacks in Saudi Arabia and reminded everyone that the war on terror continues. He also spoke with some senior citizens at a private, roundtable discussion while in Indiana. Bush then headed to tornado ravaged areas of Missouri to view the destruction, and gave words and hugs of support to those who lost property and loved ones in last week's storms. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The pictures of the PResident in the rain are just something else. Most people would refuse to stand in the rain and talk to a bunch of strangers, but not this man. From the looks of the destruction in the background, he is talking to people from the tornado destruction. He knows they have suffered a great loss, and so he is diong his best to comfort them, even if that means standing in the rain and getting a little wet.

This man is awesome. His ability to connect to the average Joe is amazing. President Bush is what we need right now.

Repub Gov Rick Perry sent TX Rangers to arrest them.

DEMOCRAT Gov of OK - said, "TX Rangers don't have any authority here."

Was this planned or what ... because in looking at the maps, these dems were closer to other states. It seems this is a dem comspiracy.

The redistricting they are fighting is in the Constitution - every 10 years you have to redistrict. The dems will lose 9 seats.

Well ... I hope they lose 39 seats (at election time) for this stupid and irresponsible stunt.

There were children sobbing because they were so disappointed. (Not to mention a few tears from adults.) THe fairgrounds is small and they have two larger facilities in town that could have been used........The State GOP blew it royally.

Did give an interview to an AP reporter. Told him about the BUshbots and Freerepublic.......That God had blessed AMerica by giving us the right man at the right time......That although I didn't agree with everything Bush did, I knew his intentions were on track. That he did (with God's help) what he thought was right.

He asked me about the divisivness of "W" I told him "W" wasn't dividing he was leading. Look at his cabinet. Look at the Estrada nominee. It was JJ and the democrats that are the dividers in this country.

He asked about the tax plan. I told him I believed in a hand up not a hand out and supported Bush's tax plan. He asked about the rich getting the breaks and I told him, someone had to have the money to hire the rest of us. That my father had lived in poverty as a child , and he and all of his family were well off now because of their hard work and education and deserved everything they got.

NOT a good day, mountaingirl! But I'm OK. It's the way life is now, and I'm leaning heavily on the Lord to make it through......

Mike, the dems are going to wallow in their stupidity and envy. Right now they have nothing going for them. They can't think of anything legitimate to call the President on so they are digging way deep into the dirt and trying to slime the President. I think the majority of Americans are noticing the desperation of the dems and their dirty attempts to bring the President down. I don't think most Americans want to associate with that, so they're going to vote against the dems.

Feel free to rant any time.

hoosiermama ~~~ talk to Miss Marple. She has a theory about his .... and it DOESN'T involve the GOP. Her son also got just feet from the door when they closed admission.

I am so sorry that you didn't get in ..... I saw most of the speech on tv and he was really fired up. But the fact that you were there, signs in hand, would have lifted his spirits and been an encouragement to him.

*hugs*

I was blessed to be at the event in Indianapolis this morning, four rows behind the white-haired lady he hugged. It was such a thrill to see him. He seemed to be having so much fun! Senator Lugar who introduced him had a difficult time doing the intro because every time he mentioned the President's name the crowd went wild.

I'm so glad they aren't going through with the investigation. I thought it was rediculous in the first place and had a feeling that it would cost more to investigate than the flight deck landing.

while I got used to Hillary's wrath, her ability to turn it on and off amazed me."

"When Hillary was with us, she ran the show. She was the power behind the throne, and her priorities came first

This is why we must fight with all our strength to keep this beast out of the White House. She will be a threat to our country and ruin everything George Bush had done to repair our nation.
