That's the solution today, let's make Vincent Fox our next president, he'll end illegal immigration by golly.

You bet he would. He'd accomplish overnight what Bush is trying to do in baby steps.

The only thing about the Republican party is it has conservatives within it that are fighting amnesty and the invasion. The democrats have none and are infinitely worse. There isn't much choice at the moment but to work within the GOP and try to influence change.

But I agree with you, the RNC anyway is running scared and is afraid to touch it, that is going to backfire eventually, the conservative base is fired up on this issue and they vote.

Somehow the subject of trading oil for letting in more Mexican leeches to burden taxpayers doesn't surprise me... it was bound to come up sooner or later. Some folks would sell their own mothers, ya know.... to hell with our sovereignty.

As a previous poster mentioned, this looks like a WH Trial Balloon. Given the Bush Family ties to a number of powerful Mexican Families and their oil interests I am not surprised either.

I say stop all immigration, but that's me. Perhaps if they can't seek refuge here, other countries may take their government into their own hands. Much better idea than sending all their radical puppets over here.

Yeah and then we'd be having to look for new homes in other countries, find ourselves locked up with 60 other people in some trailer headed out of the country.

Yep, I think California is done for, but I think the other 49 states can yet be salvaged.

Make that 48, NY is illegal immigrant country too. It's billions of dollars in debt, but not one dime is being proposed to cut from all the free shtuff illegals get. Instead it's either raise our taxes or cut services to citizens.

Add Texas ---the southern counties are demanding a state income tax and increase in other taxes. It's a lot closer than people realize.

True enough. My own Rep has really turned around on immigration and has pleasantly surprised me on a number of related issues. Letting your representatives know where you stand on the issues is essential in influencing change. If they get little input from their constituents their tendency is to follow whatever the party leadership says.

Since in my particular area there aren't that many illegals yet I was suprised at the number downstate, almost a million or more. Yeah I'd say it's much closer than people realize.

California, bloated with parasitic illegal aliens and run by the worst governer in American history, is poised to raise their already sky-high sales tax, triple their vehicle registration fees (which are already high), and the L.A. County health care system is pondering refusing to help American citizens who live in surrounding counties and need critical care while continuing to provide routine health care for the millions of illegals squatting in L.A. County. Bye-bye more businesses, productive taxpaying citizens, etc... and then you wind up with another filthy Mexican cesspool. It's bound to hit the fan, and soon. It's like a cancer has eaten it up.

Illegal immigration is more of an economic problem (see California).

California's economic problems are caused by liberal politics.

There have been stories recently that L.A. County was thinking about making businesses pay for illegals' health care. That's a good idea if they do it, but somehow I just get the feeling they won't. It's so much easier to stick the taxpayers with all the bills than the campaign contributors.

Anyone in the Glendale/Burbank area comment?

Most of what you say is true. It is not unsafe to go to the mall and crime is not out of control. Armenians have arrived in great numbers around Glendale and Hollywood. An Armenian I work with says 90% will return home when democracy takes root. This same co-worker is also familar with various welfare scams and smokes under the counter Armenian cigs with no tax stamp. His Mother-In-Law, a New Yorker, is currently trying to get legal via political asylum.

And since these illegal mexicans have ZERO job skills, they have boatloads of kids, who also have no job skills, and therefore grow up to be gang members.

0 for 4...and two were the same.

You seem so negative perhaps you should go see how our elite live and realize life in a gated community is swell these days and there is no need for any of your sour feelings. Rush Limbaugh would be shocked that you think this way.

Eisenhower removed quite a few in a matter of months

They were brought here and watched while they picked crops as your Grandpappy fought in WWII.
Your point is irrelevant.

And so are you, so why don't you take your useless insults and soundbites somewhere else, unless you have something past the kindergarten stage to say.

Ok, but if you want to save the GOP, Eastern European Immigration is the only way to save it.

Ridiculous.
The Armenians around here are more liberal than the Mexicans.

btw, Armenia is not Asian.
