New York Times executive editor Howell Raines, under fire from his staff for allegedly coddling a conniving reporter, publicly criticized another newspaper several years ago for dragging its feet over the removal of a plagiarizing columnist.

In a 1998 column on the Times' Op-Ed page, Raines, then the editorial page editor, blasted the Boston Globe - owned by The New York Times Company - for saving the job of columnist Mike Barnicle, who plagiarized jokes from a comedian's book.

The majority stockholder of the NYT, is ultimately responsible for it's left-wing content (bent) and its managing editor and his reportership, so until ownership changes, I suspect the NYT will continue on it's downward slide to the left.

NYT has lost credibility much in the same way France has lost its credibility. May they both be forever scorned.

Its clear The NYT places its ideological commitment ahead of objective reporting. They should change their front page mast to read: "All The DNC Pressers Fit To Print." Now that would be more honest and it would spare readers from having to even glance at the rest of the paper to see what Mullah Howard Raines deems to be today's party line.

I tired of people like him and Janet Reno saying that they take "full responsiblity" for their poor decisions and their lack of supervisory skills, when in fact they take no responsibility whatsoever. They just want to get on with their privileged positions and their fat paychecks.

Only way I see "Pinch" Sulzberger turning his listing enterprise around is for them to hire Ann Coulter as Executive Editor. Its just too much of a heresy for Manhattan liberals to bear.

It has been my experience, both when a college student and in the work force, that when meetings of this type are held and no significant changes occur (which you know they won't) the rift between management and the employees gets even bigger. Employees will now consider themselves justified in pointing out any future failings of Raines and his flunkies.

My guess is that some interesting things are going to be surfacing on Drudge and in the New York Post in the next few weeks.

The none elite working with the Slimes will fall into two categories.

1. Those who really knew nothing about the lies/deceit that the Slimes published each day as news.

2. Those who knew but said nothing not to rock the boat. They were not involved in the lies and deceit, and they said nothing to protect their jobs.

Those in group two will be the people who will contact Drudge and others to expose the decades of lies/deceit. Many of them have been collecting their own files and data bases of the lies they have seen. Some will share that data in hopes of starting a purge. Any who are laid off as the Slimes circulation drops, will gladly share those files for payback.

The stock will start dropping as more and more victims come forward, and lawsuits or out of court settlements start to show up.
