I wonder if FNC reaches as many people as Rush's 20 million. It may be tops in cable, but cable ain't broadcast, unfortunately. Still, some probably listen to other conservative talk radio and not to Rush.In principle the Internet deserves more government support/defference than radio/TV, because the First Amendment speaks to equality before the law in our ability to use our money to speak, literallly and figuratively. That is turned on its head by the FCC-defined right to listen to the Establishment--and concommitant duty to shut up. In any event we can hope that the internet will continue to grow at the expense of broadcast journalism.
