Anyone Just Hear a TERRIBLE Presentation by Homeland Defense's Hutchinson IGNORING Illegal Aliens?

Anyone else just hear a replay of a talk earlier today (19 May) by former Congressman Asa Hutchison, Homeland Defense Undersecretary for Border Control, going into detail about their new USA Visa program and how it will secure our borders at US points of entry?

[This aired on CSPAN Radio.]

I couldn't believe that talk. IS THIS REALLY BUSH ADMINISTRATION POLICY?!?!

Barf.

No wonder we are being invaded on the installment plan and the many law abiding guests and immigrants are being slapped in the face and insulted. It guess, listening to that talk, it will continue to happen regardless if the GOP or the Dems control the agencies.

The emphasis by the Administration, which is correct in that NBC article, is that POE (points of entry) will be equipped with biometrics systems to track people coming in more thoroughly.

The point I am making (and the photo at the top of this thread shows) that there are TONS of OTHER "points of entry" into the US, many beseiged night after night by group coming in illegally. Hutchison slyly avoided any significant or specific discussion of these porous holes in our "border" and a proactive response there. In this sense, I think the "border" he refers to is something like the Port of Baltimore, or San Ysidro, California, or the Customs/Immigration line at Chicago-O'hare Airport.

I think he very skillfully tried to 'redefine the border' as being something much further away than the "physical borders" of the US. I took away from it that they will beef up the established POEs, but continue to neglect that actual physical border, nor really enact a comprehensive plan to deport these illegal aliens or think of ways to deny them US taxpayer funded services which will take away the attractiveness (the 'magnet' so to speak) of trying to sneak into the USA.

Glad you agree.

All in all, I can go to sleep at night relaxed and unburdened in the self-assurance that I am not Bushbot who would vote still for a republican president even if he had Kim Jong-il as his running mate, over a conservative democrat or independent.

The fact of the matter is, in terms of illegal immigration and true border sovereignty, the 'fix' is 'in' at the most senior levels of either party. Some FR posters weighed in with why it is this way and where the interests lie.

What the hell kind of statement is that? How ridiculous.

I have the highest ethics and would not vote with the likes of Kim Jong-il on a ticket. How absurd and stupid. What a leaps and bounds conclusion to make on non-existant evidence.

You sleep at night, relaxed and unburdened, evidently because you don't let complicated facts interfere with any thinking process that may or may not be taking place in there.

Gee thanks, Professor.

Sheesh. If brains were gasoline, you wouldn't have enough to drive a dinky car around the inside of a cheerio.

Methinks you failed to grasp my dramatization of the mind of the pathetic Bushbot, somebody who turns a blind eye to transgressions against either our borders or our Constitution, all because of the party which occupies the White House. I am willing to accuse you of that if you'd let me.

Judging from your saged contributions here, I don't think you could pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel.

You kind kindly put that in your pipe and smoke it. That is all.

Your concerns over illegal immigration are likely as wrong as your assertions that God was punishing the US with F5 tornadoes for approaching Israel with a peace plan which might result in partition of Israel. You never did reply to my #18 last weekend showing that while you said there were no F5 tornados in the US prior to this move, there were in fact close to fifty since the state of Israel was created in 1948. Also you said that there had never been as many tornados as had occured a week or so ago with 300+ in three days when in fact there had been 148 in SIXTEEN HOURS in the mid 70's and those tornadoes in 13 states had killed hundreds and injured 5000. Nice seeing that you are still hiding from the facts.

This raises my blood pressure so much that I can't read it right now!

I hope GW, Karl Rove and all the other Republicans understand that this is one issue I am serisly considering staying home on...something I have never done in all my life.

This is OUR country, and if Pubbies don't care enough about US, they don't deserve to be elected.
What kind of country are we leaving for our grandchildren?!?

Review coming soon at Alexa.

Free Republic is a hate site. These people are racist bigots. So much hate, blah, blah, blah...."

What the reviewer never mentions is that he's the one who comes to Free Republic from Democratic Underground, posts bile, then writes a review claiming that it's us who does such thing.

I imagine we'll see the word Satan-worshippers included in a post over there fairly soon, huh?
