They're saying that homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice like those other choices such as adultery, polygamy, incest, etc. If so, then they're saying that you're born with it(homosexuality).
That's precisely what they're saying. In order to refute the claim that same-sex attraction is unnatural, the libs counterclaim that same-sex attraction is natural by conflating two meanings of the word
nature. (Cf. the "nature" vs. "nurture" argument re the origins of same-sex attraction, in which libs claim that same-sex attraction is "natural.").
One sense of "nature" is "essence" (as in, man's nature is sexual (i.e., male and female)). The other sense of "nature" is that which occurs without human intervention (as in, same-sex attraction is a natural disorder).

What on earth is a non-heterosexual doing at a Jesuit University. Didn't she read the prospectus?

"..you get to pick and choose what the Bible says about homosexuality?"
For those among us of either a different religion or no religion - yes. To me the bible is no more than a good read much like other books of religion. We all don't worship the same god. even though we may have learned much from all of them.

The editor who wrote the title of my article left out the word "commencement". Because editors tend to change the exact wording, it can sometimes be more efficient to pick out several key words and do a search by post time. If you use the words "Santorum, protesters, speech" it picks it up.
I am guilty of the same thing, though. There was an earlier post that had the exact story with still a different title. If I had searched on only "Santorum", I would have picked it up:

I did a search using just "Santorum" and nothing later than
a week ago came up. It's Clinton, again!
