This demand to quarantine a political enemy might have had more credibility if the target – the Campaign for Human Rights -- were busily burning crosses on social conservatives’ lawns. But they aren’t.

No, they aren't. They are doing something far worse: preaching the gay agenda to a captive audience--children in government schools, lobbying for special rights for gays, pushing hate crime laws, voting for Democrats, extorting money from taxpayers, undermining the sanctity of marriage, trying to destroy the Boy Scouts of America and attempting to drive religion out of the public square.

In a "tolerant" society, there is a huge difference between saying these two things: 1) What consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes is no business of the government, and, 2) groups, including the Boy Scouts, schools, etc., have good reasons for keeping homosexuals away from positions of trust with young children.

Furthermore, the Boy Scouts have a First Amendment "right of association" to make those kinds of practical judgments to protect children in their programs. So says the US Supreme Court. So, it is not the protection of "homosexual rights," but the protection of the recognized Constitutional rights of groups that are under attack.
