Where's Tom Ridge? That simple clown is probably out behaving like the liberal he is, as usual. Of course we all understand he's just another 'yes man' in the wretched scheme of things. If this is the feds idea of homeland security we're all in trouble. These folks have no intention of enforcing any laws they don't agree with. Wouldn't want to tick off Vicente the leech, would we?
To: Willie Green
No problem. They are Mexicans. Give them their first social security and WIC checks for $3,000 this month, a key to a government home and everything will be okey dokey. We can't pick on illegal Mexicans. W said so. And Vicente Fox said we are racist if we don't do like it. So let's all hold hands and give a big FR Kumba-Ya hug to our newest illegal immigrants, soon to illeally vote demorat at a polling place near you.

The only noticeable Hispanic presence in the entire Pgh area that I am aware of, is the Latin American Studies Center at the U of Pittsburgh. LOL Greensburg is as white as sugar and sliced bread.
By the way, I have fond memories of the Spanish department at Pitt in the '70's, I took a number of Spanish courses there after I got out of the service and used the GI bill. They were a good group. The Hispanic culture has a lot to recommend it.
However, illegal immigration should be considered an "illegal" activity. What would happen to us Norteamericanos if we went to Mexico City and said, let me take a job away from one of YOUR citizens without paying taxes. Yeah, see how long we could live under the table.

A Mexican gang or the policia would take you out into a field, beat you to death or shoot you and you would never be heard from again. It's the Mexican way.

hey, i was a spanish major at Pitt in the 70s. Remember the commie, John Beverly?? i looked online recently and didn't see him listed, wonder what became of him. My fave was Julio Matas, i think that was his name. kind of fruity Cuban exile. older guy (back then).

heck, they didn't even have any decent CHINESE FOOD!
There are several good places in the area now.

This happens all the time here in the N. Panhandle of W.Va. Our state troopers will stop a van for speeding along I-70, and find a dozen or so illegals inside. When they call INS in Pgh., they get the same response - "Let 'em go." When we had a few dozen illegals in our little town working construction on a new college dorm, the INS couldn't be bothered to drive the 45 miles from Pgh to investigate. In other words, "so what?"
I don't know whether this is unique to this particular regional office, but a few heads need to roll.

We do have a Department of Homeland Security don't we,or is that just another scam foisted on us by the politicians?
I vote for the latter.

I hate to say it because it is seen as inflamatory on the forum, but this policy has eminated from the top. We have a situation where our top officials will not enforce Article four Section four of the United States Constitution.
One person in particular swore an oath to protect his nation from invasion. He has utterly failed to do so.
Some folks may not like my statement, but I see it as irrefutable. I am sorry to observe this and feel the need to publicly comment on it.
'Open borders' is here. It's not official. It's been done on the sly with a wink and a nod. It is disgraceful what is happening to our nation. Our leaders do not adhere to the Constitution and the rule of law any longer.
To: madfly
So ... not wearing a seat belt is a more serious infraction than sneaking into this country illegally to commit fraud with illegal documents and evade taxes on income illegally earned while working for an unethical employer?
OK, great ... sounds like the FEDS have their act together on this one ...

Just proves how immigration policy along our Southern border is a joke.

Let's all write to Tom Ridge and tell him what we think of "homeland security", which is nothing of the sort.
To: Willie Green
Of the nine Mexicans in the truck, seven were illegal aliens, one had a green card and one, the driver, had been naturalized, Lyons said.
_______
Legal immigrants are the enablers and employers of illegal immigrants. This is one way "ethnic"restaurants can charge less and put legal restaurants out of business.

but the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services said it wasn't interested in getting involved That's becuase the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services does not have any enforcement ability. Even if they wanted to get involved, they have no officers with arrest authority.
The Greensburg police called the wrong agency. They should have called The Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Greensburg police called the wrong agency. They should have called The Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.Who knew? I wonder why whomever they called didn't direct them to the right agency? Something stinks here.
