ERUSALEM (AFP) - Chocolate "surprise" eggs which normally contain tiny toys turned out to be filled with marijuana when Israeli police intercepted them at the northern port of Haifa, Israeli public radio reported.
The small shipment of hollow milk chocolate Kinder Surprise eggs was stuffed with White Widow, one of the strongest strains of marijuana, which had been sent from Belgium to a 21-year-old who already had a police record for minor drug offences, the radio said.
The would-be recipient was from a kibbutz, or collective farm, by the Sea of Galilee incidentally renowned for its ostrich eggs.
Israel is a trafficking hub for drugs from Lebanon and Jordan but is also a large market for cannabis, heroin and synthetic drugs.

From my teens, I always thought that the brand names were all bogus. Whoever had the weed would always say something like "Man, this is that panama red, man". Or, "This is that Dutch Rainbow stuff I was telling you about", when it reality it is the same ground up mexican crap that teenagers all smoke.
Of course, this is just observations as I have never had any myself.

I MISS KINDER EGGS. Never got any filled with pot, though. Usually they had these itty bitty toys you had to put together. Some of them were amazingly clever! One of the few things I REALLY miss about Germany.
The USDA doesn't trust US consumers with food that contains non-food. So we can't have them. The closest we come to this is chocolate eggs with little candies inside--which to me is just as much a choking hazard for the little ones and whole lot less fun for the rest of us!

"Man, this is that panama red, man".
PANAMA RED
(PETER ROWAN)
CHORUS
PANAMA RED, PANAMA RED
HE'LL STEAL YOUR WOMAN, THEN HE'LL ROB YOUR HEAD
PANAMA RED, PANAMA RED
ON HIS WHITE HORSE, MESCALITO
HE COME BREEZIN' THROUGH TOWN
I'LL BET YOUR WOMAN'S UP IN BED WITH
PANAMA RED
THE JUDGE DON'T KNOW WHEN RED'S IN TOWN
HE KEEPS WELL HIDDEN UNDERGROUND
BUT EVERYBODY'S ACTING LAZY
FALLING OUT AND HANGIN' 'ROUND
MY WOMAN SAID, "HEY PEDRO
YOU'RE ACTIN' CRAZY LIKE A CLOWN"
NOBODY FEELS LIKE WORKING
PANAMA RED IS BACK IN TOWN
CHORUS
EVERYBODY'S LOOKING OUT FOR HIM
'CAUSE THEY KNOW RED'S SATISFIES
LITTLE GIRLS LOVE TO LISTEN TO HIM
SING AND TELL SWEET LIES
BUT WHEN THINGS GET TOO CONFUSING, HONEY
YOU'RE BETTER OFF IN BED
AND I'LL BE SEARCHING ALL THE JOINTS IN TOWN FOR
PANAMA RED

Ueberaschungs Eier!!!! Yes, my kids ask everyone they know who travels back and forth to bring a few. Usually at Christmas I'm willing to spend a few bucks to buy them at a German Specialty shop. The collectible toy series are also pretty interesting, I've heard that there are people swapping and collecting them on the net.

Don't get me wrong -- I like sparring with you on these threads, but this comes pretty close to dealing. IMO.
