I watched 30 minutes of the first episode and gave up. Other than the special effects...there is no story. It is totally up to the viewer to make a story and understand it as the movie goes along. I saw this in my office today with 12 people describing what they saw and they kept discussing and discussing the movie over and over...as if it were a great event in their lives. I am puzzled by the whole thing...perhaps I am simply not in the great group of thinkers...but I doubt it.

I echo your sentiments; didn't see the first one, either. Heard this one wasn't all that good anyway.

The evil in ‘Matrix’
Some right-wing groups have made “The Matrix Reloaded” their next target — but they may be misfiring.
The hit flick has a scene in which evil leaders are being discussed, and in the background, a wall of video monitors shows various images, including Adolf Hitler and George W. Bush.
“This is offensive and we are adding ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ to our list of movies to avoid,” notes Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood, which has led boycotts of other supposedly anti-American performers.

But maybe those irate patriots should watch the film a little closer. “The images [shown in the videos] include photos of Gandhi, the Pope, John Kennedy, President Bush, and other well-regarded contemporary and historical figures,” according to Warner Bros., the studio behind the film. “Some of the figures are negative and some positive; the intention was to portray a sample of significant figures of the last few generations, not to suggest any agenda or linkage between one figure and another.”

I wonder if Clinton's image is included in this montage?
