As elected officials debate the assault weapons ban, Americans should contemplate the implications. The minutemen of eastern Massachusetts shown below carried the state of the art assault weapon of their time. With it they secured their freedom for individual liberty, a right to keep their property, and a society free of tyranny. It’s ironic that the majority of elected officials from Massachusetts would deny those very men, men of honor, to bear assault weapons.

Instead of honorable men, we have pigs: we have Senator Kennedy who let a young woman drown, as he walked out of car he drove drunkenly into water, we have Senator Kerry who chastised his defeated wealthy opponent (James Rappaport) in his victory speech for attempting to buy a senate seat but yet turns around to marry one of the world’s wealthiest women in the hope he can buy the presidency, and we have a slew of representatives that read Animal Farm as an operating manual to take over the state and install tyranny. Massachusetts is Animal Farm.

And now we have a president talking about extending the assault weapons ban?

CNN will never, EVER broadcast a correction to the same extent and frequency with which they broadcast the initial hoax.
CNN should be shut down... or, at least, banned from running commercials for several weeks as compensation for this concocted fabrication... but that'll never happen. They'll hide behind the First, after having attempted to rape the Second.

Shades of NBC's exploding trucks. Is there a network news department remaining that has not been caught fabricating news?

Yes. The one accused of bias by Ken Auletta---Fox News.

Uh. Since when is the ground a 'target'?

When you want to make the other guy dance. Like CNN is dancing now.

Okay, so who told Deputy Worth to purposely fire into the ground? CNN or Sheriff Ken-Ken? 56 posted on 05/22/2003 11:53 AM PDT by PJ-Comix (He Who Laughs Last Was Too Dumb To Figure

"It is just an honest misunderstanding"

BULLSH*T!!! Somebody had to order Deputy Worth to fire into the ground. I know damn well that NOBODY would fire into the ground at a target range if it were up to them. It makes NO SENSE....unless somebody ordered Worth to fire into the ground. So who issued that order? Sheriff Ken-Ken or CNN?

indeed: a very smelly and wormy pile of bovine excrement. At the range at which he was firing, the deputy could have put rounds on-target by simply sighting down the barrel. More recent statements indicate the deputy was indeed deliberately firing into the ground, putting the kybosh on the flop shuffled off on us by the Sheriff.

I am wondering... at what point is there enough concrete proof of deliberate lies on the part of the media, lies which are quite evidently designed to bolster a usurpation of power by the government in the form of a law which infringes upon Constitutionally protected freedom, and thus are lies which are INTENDED to BRING REAL, MEASURABLE HARM to the people at large... At what point do we, the People, have legitimate legal grounds to bring a class-action suit (based on libel laws) against the media?

A couple of random facts for all of you:

1) It is clear that CNN will never issue a retraction (let alone come clean by showing us the fraud), nor will it fire John Zarella without enormous pressure.

2) Our economic system is known as Capitalism, in which competing businesses vie with each other for revenues from a particular market segment.

3) CNN is a cable network. So is FNC - in fact, they are the 2 biggest competitors (MS-NBC is a distant 3rd, I think).

OK, these are interesting facts. Since no one on this thread seems to like CNN (I personally despise its biased reporting), let's think about how some bright FNC producer could make the most of this situation....Eureka! I've got it....

If Fox has any brains near the top of its management structure, it will do a detailed, repeat DETAILED, analysis of everything about this situation. Without actually accusing CNN of setting up this obvious fraud, Fox could pound the stuffing out of what little credibility that CNN has left. The chief reporter could factually state, repeatedly, that many members of the public question why John Zarella (and possibly Kyra the Bimbo) is still employed by CNN - after all, the NYT fired a lying reporter. To enhance the effect, it could advertise this piece on the non-news Fox stations, and run the story multiple times for over a week. CNN would lose even more ratings than it has lost over the past few years, possibly resulting in a change of management and attitude (well, I can dream, can't I?).

I promise you, were I a Fox exec I would ORDER such a story to be prepared, ASAP. This could permanently crush any hope that CNN has of regaining the #1 slot on cable.

If anyone who sees this knows someone at Fox that can help to make this reality, please forward the idea along.

Please see my Post # 75, esp. the last paragraph. Any such report on FNC would do more than anything else to fix CNN and to help our side in this issue - it would totally discredit the anti-gun side.

Same old tricks... the loonie left will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of complete arms confiscation.

They lie, lie, cheat, steal - anything it takes. To them, their end justify the means.

But I'm only preaching to the choir here!!!

The problem with using Fox to "out" the lies of CNN is this: The people who are watching Fox ALREADY BELIEVE CNN lies. The people who believed this bullsh*t CNN report wouldn't be caught dead watching Fox.
