There is no incentive for CNN, CBS, ABC or any other station to stop perpetuating lies and promoting their agenda of disinformation unless people stop watching them. They will only react to their pocketbook.

CNN put on a fraudulent report, and, without a doubt, knew it.
How can the camerman, reporter, and producer not notice that they deputy was shooting at the ground? They didn't see the grass and dirt flying up right in front of their faces? Sorry CNN, soccer moms may be that stupid but most people aren't.
Having said that, allow me to propose a way for CNN to set the record straight and perhaps regain some of the credibility that it has lost over this.
1) Admit that the demo was flawed
2) Setup another demo, this time under the auspices of the NRA
3) CNN may have their own observers to check the NRA
4) First demonstrate the differences between a banned AW (as per the 1994 legislation) and it's legal conterpart, i.e., what are the mechanical, cosmetic, etc, differences
5) Finally, demonstrate the firearms using TWO sets of identical targets whether it be cinder blocks or bullet proof vests. Announce each weapon as it is fired and announce the target that it is being fired at
6) Compare and contrast
What do you think? Would they go for it or do you think they just want it to go away? Perhaps if the NRA hammers on CNN enough.
Anybody here an NRA guy that canget this floated? I know I would love to see it.
Just my crazy brain at work ...

"that they deputy" should read "that the deputy"

I was out of the country for about ten days at the time and listened to CNN's non-US English feed. It was nothing but coverage of the bogged down US and British offensive, alternated with coverage of civilian casualties. Film of the same incident shown day after day.

very Orwellian. No wonder the rest of the world hates us so. They can't access the truth.

In other news, CNN says they are close to hiring Jayson Blair to help raise their credibility.../sarcasm

Shouldn't this cause the FCC to look into CNN?
At least Hans Blix should be given a call!!

CNN spokesman Matthew Furman said the camera operator didn't realize the sheriff's employee had switched targets and was firing into the ground.Uh. Since when is the ground a 'target'?

Yeah, I love stories like this - they keep unraveling and unraveling - now we have a cameraman who didn't notice his subject was firing a high-powered rifle into the ground. Why would Deputy Sheriff Chris Worth even fire at the GROUND at a FIRING RANGE? It makes absolutely NO SENSE....unless he was ORDERED to fire into the ground. Okay, so who told Deputy Worth to purposely fire into the ground? CNN or Sheriff Ken-Ken?

Since when is the ground a 'target'? Only in the CNN Fantasyland where somehow it makes sense to fire bullets into the ground at a target range.

What I find disturbing is that the police in that county would participate in the production of this piece of communist propaganda.
Don't the police there swear to preserve and protect our free republic?

Sheriff Ken-Ken isn't a real cop. He is a career politician who was appointed as sheriff. BTW, since he is only 5'2" in elevator shoes, Sheriff Ken-Ken doesn't even physically qualify to be a lawman.

It takes thousands of complaints to get the FCC to look at anything. They protect the big networks.
