Thanks for the info, Spiff. Have read most of the information before but I was unaware how involved Navarro was in it. I'm going to keep my eye on him in the local area media.

"Both sides are too volatile and use inaccurate information to build up support and "their rhetoric is doing harm," Oh, uh huh, both sides are inaccurate are they? Let's see him back that statement up. I think this scum should be forced to clean up the garbage illegals have left in their wake.

2. those who do believe as he does are students, captive to chicano studies programs.>>>>>>>>>
Looks like Navarro is going to be picking a lot more *believers*, as many states have granted (or are thinking about granting) In-State Tuition @ colleges for many of these illegal students.
Oregon just passed it, and one of the "Elected Idiots" who
helped push it through said "These are our future workers, we must educate them".
Someone please clue this guy in.....
it's illegal for illegals to work in the USA.
DUH.....Taxpayers being forced to educate illegal students
so they may then WORK ILLEGALLY in the USA.

Taxpayers being forced to educate illegal students so they may then WORK ILLEGALLY in the USA. Maybe these sellout politicians know something we don't, like maybe there's going to be an amnesty coming. Otherwise it really makes no sense to educate someone at our expense who can technically be deported at anytime, not that too many have to worry about that.

the same foundations that fund the radical mexican orgs, fund journalism.
they're giving $55,000 sabbaticals for these people to do the same socialist projects. see my post:

but not every mexican student majors in chicano studies.
it's similar to majoring in feminist studies. what do you do with it when you graduate? a few will go on to get a ph.d. and teach, but the vast majority will have a collision with reality. they'll need a job and chicano or feminist studies doesn't prepare one for employment.
most mexicans are more intelligent than navarro. they know that if they want a good job, that a major in business or science will get them that job.

I love Mexico, but if the Southwest were ever to be given back to Mexico, it would go to worse shit than now, and all those Mexicans would then be trying to get into the US, but further up North. If these immigrants wanted things to be like in Mexico, they would have never come up here to begin with.

You might be right..I found the article & it was Washington
(not Oregon, they're still trying to pass it)and it was
Rep. Don Cox-R.......
"Nobody gains by leaving entire groups of future workers
uneducated".
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/908072/posts Bush tried to extend 245(1) 6 months after 9-11 but it didn't make it.
I think he's just waiting for the *right time* to go for
ANOTHER amnesty.

Seems if mexicans were so intelligent, they might learn the
english language, if they plan to work & live in the USA.
But, this sure isn't happening. Instead our gov't is FORCING
ALL tax payers to foot the bills from bi-lingual teachers to
bi-lingual paperwork, & translators.
btw...... some of the protesters in the aboue pic's look a little old to be *students* to me.

Looks like most of our politicians are not well versed in
US laws or Roman history ......:o)
Most have also forgotten the OATH they took to uphold the US
laws and to protect her CITIZENS.
btw....this just passed in Washington (not oregon) I posted

how would you attend an american university and complete 4 years of work without understanding english?
defacto bilingual education does not work. students do not learn to speak both languages.
older people are professional hangers-on. some people don't grow up.
as i've said, and i'm not the first to notice this in southern california, very few mexican students are interested in navarro.

Whatever. In a gun fight the Mexicans wouldn't stand a chance. Those crossing the border ilegally are usually poor and uneducated. What kind of arms and capabilities would they present? None. Dead issue.
To: txdoda
I posted the link in # 49, and the quote by Rep. Don Cox-RRep. Don Cox-REPUBLICAN. Guys like Cox is the reason I'll never say I'm a republican.
It is amazing that our politicians will not enforce the law on this illegal immigration crime wave that is going on.

Saying he knows people and groups in Mexico who will not hesitate to take up arms against vigilantes and militias, Navarro said the time to eliminate violence along the border is becoming shorter.

Didn't NAFTA give them jobs? Start training civilian border patrol agents.

This thread seems to have become infested with shills, of sorts (and I don't mean you).
To: liberalnot
very few mexican students are interested in navarro. What is your position on the 1994 the California ballot proposition, aka Prop. 187, that would have eliminated all of this back-and-forth baloney? If Davis and the Mexicans hadn't killed that thing, California would not be suffering the disaster that is enduring today. BTW, California isn't going to survive this one.... not without federal help, and the current federal regime is on the other side. Any ideas?

I know mex. college students speak english......but the majority of hispanics must NOT,
or Citizens wouldn't be Forced through taxes to translate
everthing into spanish.

GOOD then take it out us all US schools.

Gov't.

Yes, Mario Obledo has his many backers also, and I just read where some mexican businessman in CA (with backers) is
creating a *new* political party....."The BROWN Party".
