Fine values.

Long my definition of American patriotism: Reverence for the Constitution and the Boy Scout Oath.

Good for the kid. He did the right thing. Furthermore, read this in a voice like 'Apu' on The Simpsons and get a chuckle:

"Truck driver Amrinder "Andy" Sing Sidhu wrote: "Because of the early warning of Kurt Pfeifer, I was able to avert a major tragedy of running over a pile of cars which would've resulted in very dangerous consequences."

Eagle Scout BUMP!

...he earned his Eagle Scout pin at age 14.

I made Eagle at 14, as well.

When I read aobut young men like this, I find it impossible to understand how anyone can support the United Way and companies that collect money for them.

That's why I support the scouts directly and tell the United Way to kiss my as* whenever I'm asked for a donation.

Former Boy Scout honors to this young man!

There have been over 100 million members of the BSA. I believe that there have been fewer than 130 of this medal with crossed palm awarded. This young man is quite literally one in a million.

Does anyone remember "Boys Life" Magazine? In each issue, they had a comic strip about true stories involving the heroism of a Boy/Cub Scout.
