Amber Frey's phone were TAPPED by the Modesto Police Department with a court order. She talked to him at THEIR request; it's called "cooperating."

BTW, just so you'll know, Amber Frey has been investigated AND cleared of any wrongdoing by the MPD. She has been aiding them in their investigation of this heartless monster since Decmeber 30th, 2002.

I would imagine the "secret" checking account was just in Scott's name and maybe a post office box, or his Business Address...something along those lines. Geragos will say "so what, doesn't make him a killer".
