Yes it is possible. I remember seeing my babies kicking and stretching while I was pregnant. My stomach would bulge because they were kicking or pushing with their hands. Being short-waisted, I had to walk around with my arms up in the air at times so my son wouldn't take out my lower ribs :) There isn't much between an 8 month old baby and the outside world.
