There is no location to be found where they will be able to sit a jury of 12 people that have not heard of the case, but they will be able to find a jury that will be able to sit and judge the evidence presented before them in the courtroom. That I believe will be possible. If he gets the death penalty he automatically gets appeals. I don't agree with change of venue. I belive if there is enough factual evidence that he will be found guilty. However there are still "reasonably intellegent" people in this town who would judge the evidence on it's own merits. Frankly, none of todays events have a thing to do with SP guilt or innocence.

Bingo! That's it!! Janie Weintraub is kind of like Susan Estrich! Except she doesn't look like a fish!
She looks like a gargoyle instead.

if Geragos started yelling, he's in trouble Yeahhhhhh... you got it, babes! Cackle cackle cackle...

I can top that! My husband even noticed it. While at WORK!

Scott has had HIS WIFE TAKEN AWAY, HIS BABY IS TAKEN AWAY , and he has not had a time to grieve !If these things are true this guy is definitely getting the raw end of this.
Doesn't seem likely that he is innocent but there is always that possibility.

The defendant can waive the jury, but it's to be hoped they wouldn't. IMO a trial by judge is more easily appealed. The defendant might start going on about how he didn't really voluntarily waive his right to trial by jury.

LOL! Wouldn't it be worthwhile to see Scott's face when 12 pregnant women filed in? Oh, and 5 pregnant alternates, too, of course! (Or one pregnant alternate carrying quintuplets? Now I'm getting confused... )

"One thing about Larry King: he's consistent. Always pathetic. Always inept."
yep...that's the old Larry we have all grown to know and love.....NOT!!!
listen, folks, if we are going to maintain our sanity over the next year or two, I think it might be a good idea to NOT watch some of those shows.....they are just trying to incite public outrage and boy, they sure are doing it....
I never had any respect for LK, but I did for Rita Crosby....I am just so dissappointed that these people would play along with the devil's spawn like this....

Hmmmmm!!! Possibly a nightgown?
Oh, yes, Scott--she went out to walk the dog in the park, in her nightgown.

Watch now as the Petersons proceed to look like total fools while pursuing the "burglary" charges.
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
Just look at Post 272. The poster suggested that now that the Rochas had gone into the house--against the will of Scott's attorneys--that the defense would proceed to claim that the scene had been "compromised" and that now the defense would be deprived of doing "their own investigation".
I told that poster I thought she was right on. I think Geragos has some motion or other in there in which he demands that the house be left as is, so the defense can do their own investigation. I think he will claim that this is now impossible due to the Rochas' actions, and will later use that as a ground for appeal, if an appeal is necessary.

I have found many things about Mark Geragos to be unsavory, from before Laci Peterson was murdered.
The defense can do a lot of things, true, but the police and the entire world don't have to come to a standstill while they take their time supposedly doing all these clever things.
They can do the stuff you listed, but they can't do the stuff I listed. A criminal defendant is not given special rights. He is merely allowed the chance--many chances, really--to preserve all the rights which he as a citizen had in the first place.
We all like to be sure. But very few things are sure in the realm of human behavior.
I DON'T like to see these things--things like overuse of the media to spread smoke around and deliberately lead gullible would-be jurors around by the nose. Oddly, the media is not a central part of most of the criminal trials held in the United States.
Thanks for telling me what I'm talking about! Jhoffa, you know you can tell me what I'm talking about anytime!

LOL!

Yes, it's too bad about Rita!
I think Geraldo polluted Fox.
To: Devil_Anse
And today it appears Geragos stepped in a pile of his own sleazy stuff. He actually lost his cool, from what I hear. Heh heh. He's not looking as smug these days. Keep the old chin up, Mark!Yeah, Mark could take those chin up lessons from Scottie.
To: Neenah
I can't stand Chris Pixley!!! Who the hell is he, anyway? I did a Google search for him since Larry always introduces him as "the famed Chris Pixley" or some such nonsense. He is a major nitwit in the first place, a total Geragos shill, plus he didn't turn up at all in Google other than in regard to LKL. So does anyone know who this doofus is?
