It is SOME sort of pipe. Probably a storm drain. But it would seems to me no matter what goes through it, erosion would occur. How could an alert whacko such as babs have a thing like that in her own backyard?

What a dumbass. Streisand's lawsuit contends that the photos, one of which you'll find below, provide a "road map into her residence" and "clearly identify those routes that could be used to enter her property."

I just posted her address, which took me about 13 seconds to find in a search engine. Popped that into MapQuest, which shows me EXACTLY how to get to her house. And posted a link to a satellite photo of her property... does she REALLY think she has a claim here?

Well, whatever it is it has obviously altered the delicate ecosystem of the fragile coastline. Notice the the unnatural vegitation growth at the pipes outfall. Most likely not even native vegitation.

That's what she claims, anyway. Excerpts from her "complaint": 1. Plaintiff Barbra Streisand ("Plaintiff") is a renowned singer, actress, movie director, composer and producer. So the complaint starts with her lawyer talking about how great and beloved she is. (BTW, any grammatical errors are her lawyers', not mine.)

2. Throughout the entirety of her career Plaintiff has been and is sought after by a wide array of people for many different reasons because of her celebrity...

Once again, reiterate her beloved status.

3. People who wish to have contact with Plaintiff do not always do so through legitimate channels which respect her personal space. Unfortunately, some people are prepared to resort to any means to secure that glimpse, or illicit photograph, which fulfills their desire to feel close to Plaintiff, or make money at her expense... blah, blah blah

4. In light of her personal experience with people who wish to pry into every aspect of her life and people who have threatened her personal safety, Plaintiff has adopted throughout the years various measures to shield her private life from public view. MY NOTE: HAH! For example, her home telephone number is unlisted. Also, the records of real property that she owns, such as her home residence, do not list her as the owner, but rather show that the property is owned by an entity which cannot be traced, with any certainty, back to her. (That worked real well!)

5. Among these measures that Plaintiff has adopted to shield her private life from public view is to purchase a primary residence that offers her protection from unwanted intrusion into her domestic environment. After years of painstaking search for a property that was able to combine Plaintiff's desire for a secluded piece of real estate that did not provide any naked eye access to onlookers with her wish to enjoy the benefits and amenities of beautiful landscape features within a safe neighborhood, Plaintiff purchased a parcel of real estate in the City of Malibu. This property, whose road access is delineated by a prominent gate and fence, is set back at a considerable distance from the public roadway which makes Plaintiff's living quarters virtually inscrutable from such roadway. The back of the property abuts a steep cliff overlooking the beach and is demarked by thick shrubbery and foliage.... It is this seclusion that attracted Plaintiff to the property in the first place, and it is the preservation of this seclusion that motivated Plaintiff, at a considerable expense, to landscape the property in the fashion that it now appears.

So, in other words, Babs is a HUGE star with MILLIONS of adoring fans who have bestowed upon her great praise and earned her many awards and accolades across the Universe (not to mention many riches). That being said, it is a requirement that she cloister herself away from these disgusting masses who have made her a star. And, she is entitled to complete privacy and should not be subjected to the prying eyes of these disgusting masses (although she is allowed EVERY right to use her platform in front of these masses to thrust her private points of view upon them). And this big meanie is trying to destroy it all by distributing a photo of her house. So, she deserves $50 million dollars. Open and shut case.
