The "honest and ugly" photo shoot seems to be a growing trend right now. First Annie Lennox and now Jamie Lee Curtis.

I guess they think it makes them more respectable. Personally, I'd still prefer Hollywood's little white lies and see these women as gorgeous as they can be. I don't enjoy looking at a beautiful woman who makes herself look like a bag lady.

This HDTV technology is amazing! I saw a demo in a Sears electronics department and it just blew me away. Look up close...very close...so close that you would see the individual red green and blue dots on an old-fashioned TV: all you see is detail of the picture, as though it were film from a film projector.

I returned a Pocket PC to our local CompUSA store Thursday. The place was quiet and they had StarWars II running on a Panasonic plasma screen. Unbelievable. I watched the last 45 minutes (all the best parts) from about 3 feet away.

I could really see every minute flaw in Yoda's complexion.

I live in Dallas and on ANY given day, one can go to a mall (especially the Galleria) or any other public place and see women with no or very little makeup... many are drop dead hot.

Hollywood women are made up dolls that can be quite scarry without their masks. I saw a website that capured photos of many starlets... in many cases, not very flattering.

We got our HDTV about a year and a half ago.

I was stunned when I saw Meredith Viera. She must be a heavy smoker because she has a lattice of lines on her face that make her look about 60 years old. They don't show in standard definitiion TV.

Now to the first part of your post...I don't think she's had breast enhancement, judging from the pics I saw of her. If she did, she should demand a refund.

She did the "honest and ugly" photo shoot for a woman's magazine, one that I doubt many men see. The pics were before and after, with tips for women of a certain age how they, too, can look that good.

Honestly, most women her age can't pull it off as well as she does.
