I believe his propensity toward self-preservation and cowardice would have probably added more names to the Wall had he been inducted into the military, IMHO.

Somehow, now that I have regained my composure and dragged myself off of the floor after a fit of laughter in picturing "Slick" in a uniform, I couldn't comprehend him storming a beach, scattering with his wing man after a "close encounter" dog fight, or manning the pumps to save his submarine from an inevitable demise in the depths. After reagining my composure, I CAN picture him verbally attacking a sitting president for gallantly landing an aircraft on a carrier to boost the moral of sailors who have been at sea WAY TOO LONG, doing their duty in defending our Republic.

Jeb must detest x-42 as much as we do. Anyone with an ounce of integrity detests both klintons. Maybe that's a trial balloon in case the party asks Jeb to run in 2008. If that actually happens, it would be Hil vs. Jeb and I think Jeb would do it to keep bubba out of the White House.

Jeb would have to decide also based upon how his family is doing, including his daughter. Maybe she's getting used to politics. She really took it hard when he lost to Chiles. I forgot her name temporarily. oops.

I agree, wholeheartedly!!(that was much of my point) I would vote for "Jeb" in a heartbeat for POTUS...if he wasn't running against "Dubya"! That post of mine has run more mileage up on my keyboard I think than ALL my other posts put together. : o
