Young Pioneers was the name given to the Communist Youth in Russia.

That group must revoke the local's charter, thereby severing any connection with the Boy Scouts of America. Besides the disassociation from the Philadelphia Council's position on homosexuals, the National Council must consider the liability issue that will sooner or later come out of the closet when the molestation lawsuits hit. The National Council would not want to pick up the tab for Philadelphia's irresponsible practices. A prime example is the Catholic Church, which has certainly suffered great financial loss from its "tolerance" of gay priests.

I'm surprised this is not blatantly obvious to everyone. It is blatantly obvious to me, not just on the part of the militant gays, but all liberals as well. They want to destroy our basic precepts of freedom and self-reliance in order to create another communist/socialist Big Brother USA.
When you stop and compare where we are now compared to even a few decades ago, you can see that they are succeeding.
The title to G Gordon Liddy's latest book says it all: "When I was a Kid, This was a Free Country."

Last year, San Francisco and Boston became the first branches to reject the concept of moral straightness. The real point of all this is GAYS MUST RECRUIT. They do not reproduce other than by this means. The Catholic Church has been severly damage by the Gay Priesthood, gay Scoutmasters will bring the same tragic results to the Scouts.
The Gaystappo strikes again, ugh.

This is such a shame. Growing up in a large, poor and disfunctional family, my husband became the hard-working, skilled man that he now is, largely because of Scouting.
He LOVED being a Boy Scout and learned many practical skills he continues to use to this day. He saw there was a different way of life than what he experienced at home. He saw that kids actually had dads who showed up at functions and liked being with their kids. These dads took care to help him, since his was never there. He decided that was the kind of father he would become. He learned about God and faith and being a good citizen and an honest, honorable man...things he'd never have experienced in a way that was positive, without Scouts.
How disgusting that this wholesome source of rescue is being taken away from today's kids living in similar circumstances.

This is the letter that I just sent to the Cradle of Liberty Council in Philadelphia.
It is with great sorrow that I contact your office concerning the recent decision of the Cradle of Liberty Council to choose to ignore the BSA position on known homosexual participants in the scouting program.
1. The majority of Americans, as polled in any number of newspapers and media, do not want their children exposed to homosexual leaders anywhere but especially NOT in the BSA.
2. America's outcry concerning the Catholic Church and the homosexual priests and the damage they inflicted on their youth becomes a perfect parallel to the idea of homosexual leaders in the Scouts. Why is it so difficult for you to see that tolerance does not supercede safety? These children are in your care in a trust relationship. When a leader, known to be homosexual and approved by your council, violates that trust how do you justify the resultant damage which has been proven to be life long? It would seem that all legal precedent would put the councils who knowingly allow this, in a direct path of resposibility for the damage.
3. Only the exceptionally ignorant cannot see the moral decline in America. It takes great energy to turn from what one knows as right and to embrace that which is wrong and highly detrimental. Your council has just taken the steps to qualify for this ignominious distinction. Congratulations. What goes around, comes around.

How can one separate the sin from the sinner. It is impossible.

Yeah, I was a scout, many years ago, and loved it. My son was also, there's no doubt how positive an experience it was. How nice to hear about the inspiration it was for your husband.

True. I agree with some of the other posters that it is a part of the leftist effort to destroy traditional America. As David Horowitz has said, they must first destroy that which they wish to replace, America as we know it, and as the founders designed it.

I do not think history records such a moral collapse as being experienced in America. Defeated by mere words i.e. equality, tolerance, love, pity. Amazing!

"Four young boys in this family that will not be joining the Scouts. No more cash donations either!" Or you could use your head for a moment.
Rather than a kneejerk boycott of the scouts for the actions of rouge members, you should consider that you only drive the scouts further into financial hardship and make them more vulnerable. To deny the BSA a revenue stream is not going to help them combat this assult.
You should instead write a letter encouraging the BSA to revoke Philly's charter and deny permission to use all seals, uniforms, and name branding associated with the BSA until such a time that they repeal this policy.

Amen, that is EXACTLY what should happen...and forthwith.

I've been in contact with my local area Scout Council multiple times urging them to get hold of National Scout Headqarters and their representatives at the Convention in Phillie.
The message I'm asking is that they take the ofending PA Council paid Scouters and Volunteers at the Executive Governing Board Level to the wood-shed for some old-fashioned one-on-one counseling like our daddies used to give us.
Join me, get hold of you local Scout Council and tell them to pass on your disgust about the Liberty Bell Council to National and demand that National take that council to the wood-shed per-se.
