If they elect him, they have no one to blame but themselves.

You mean Eliot Spitzer, NY attorney general. He's just as bad as Schumer and the rest. I don't think Bill would ever beat Pataki. The Republican machine in NY would crush Clinton. There's some lean, mean and tough political Republicans in this state.

Still, this would just be a springboard for election to Secretary General of the UN....
Eternally campaigning, but once elected, never fulfills the duties of the office. The perks are great, and perhaps that is the whole objective.
Personal belief, that the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" would expire of an undisclosed medical condition within ten years of leaving office. He MUST stay in some elective or appointive position, or he will die. Like a shark that stops swimming.

Sometimes, I think Bubba has his people float these little rumors just to keep his name in the papers and on the telly, regardless of whether he is even seriously considering doing what the rumor has to be at that given moment. I think that he is so starved for attention, so livid that he is no longer in the White House, and so furious that Bush is looking more presidential than he could ever dream of, that he has to find little ways to make people talk about him.

I've heard Billy Klinton was running for about a zillion different offices. I'll believe it when I see it.

The only thing he truly runs for is nice piece of tail.

Full quote here as well:
Hillary needs to be defeated in 2006. If she is reelected for a second senatorial term, and is then tapped to be the Presidential nominee for 2008, it's quite possible that Bill Clinton could run to take her place in the U.S. Senate. Gov. Pataki's present term of office ends January 1, 2007. If he is defeated by a Democrat in 2006, or decides not to run for a 4th term, a Democrat could be controlling the Governor's Mansion and appoint Bill Clinton to replace his wife. And then, Bill Clinton could run for that office in any special election. Chances are he'd win because of New York City. As well, there is always the possibility that Bill Clinton could run for the office of Governor of New York State. When will this nightmare end? We've still got Chelsea to deal with and whatever little curmudgeons she produces.

It's perfect for Bill. It's all about power tho.
Free housing, Governor's Mansion, servants and entertainment budget. Access to New York's finest police department, and more State Troopers.
No more parking problems. A fantastic social life that he misses AND another pension! Oh yes, Bill wants this job BAD.
Hillary will be a First Lady again. How special is this? Gives me the warm fuzzies...sw
