"The defense has this through discovery. This is defense spin, like when they saw that MPD had talked to individuals concerning satanic cults. The police never considered the satanic thing viable nor do they, I suspect, believe the GHB theory."

Good point...this whole GHB theory does not sound right to me. I don't believe they would be seeking the death penalty if this were the prosecution's theory of how Laci died. It would be too difficult to prove, the fact that GHB appears in the body naturally, the fact that all of it would be gone from her body, due to decomposition, the fact that her head is missing so you can't prove strangulation, all point to this theory being a red herring from the DEFENSE.

Why would the police have publicly stated that Laci died as a result of a violent HOMICIDE if this were all they had? It doesn't make sense.

Oh one more thing....Scott probably had the GHB info on his computer so that he could get his GIRLFRIENDS compliant...not his wife!

Tin foil hat theory on the date rape drug: what if this wasn't connected to Laci's death per se, but to something else Scott was doing--something that might have made Laci say something along the lines of, I'm going to report you and what you're doing to the police. Instead of method, then, it would go to motive...
