"Even in societies not beset by civil war, the easy availability of small arms has in many cases contributed to violence and political instability," said Annan "Controlling that easy availability is a prerequisite for a successful peace-building process." ---
I guess the massacre in Congo is the fault of the guns which just rise up by themselves and start killing people, that's why UN failed.. (/sarcasm)
That is why they think it's more important to hold a gun control conference, than to stop the massacre in Congo.
And of course the last thing Kofi cares about is our 2nd Amendment. I just hope that our Congress will remember that they work for the American People, not the UN.

Sounds like it's time to bring back "Buy a Gun Day!" And it also sounds like we better get out of the UN, while we still have our guns.
To: FairOpinion
Why are we still in this corrupt, global government wanna be? Get us out of the UN NOW.
To: FairOpinion
Great idea, World WarIII is underway and the UN says to disarm. What a bunch of morons.

I personally sold off my guns.
The ones I had "officially in my name".

"Globalism SPOTREP "

Pardon me, this may be a dumb question, but what does SPOTREP mean?
Does it mean that you keep track of globalism related articles and if I post something on that topic I should ping you, or does SPOTREP stand for something different?

Ping.

I notice the UN is
NOT calling for the disarmament of all the Third World tyrannies that comprise it's membership.
Thanks UN, but no thanks. You're one of the reasons why I keep and bear arms.

Pardon me, this may be a dumb question, but what does SPOTREP mean? Designed to provide spot TV decision-makers with timely information about the expanding capabilities of interconnects to effectively target consumers in major markets throughout the U.S.

SPOTREP = Spot Report, a report of an activity or event given by an observer. Part of the mosaic that creates the complete picture.

Track "officially held guns"; Wonder who is tracking the unlicensed, unregistered, fully automatic MP5s that Kofi's bodyguards walk around NYC with.

This tax is not about feeding the hungry it is about GUN CONTROL. The hungry would get fed IF the administrations of these third world countries would actually hand out the food we provide them with to their populations, instead of selling it on the black market to enrich their own pockets.

Ah, the UN Stalinists are at it again, and I see that their usual tactics are at work. Disarming the world will "help feed" starving people, they say. Disarming the world and concentrating military power in the hands of nation states will "decrease violence" against civilians.
No. Their tactics are transparent. They're interested in disarming civilians so that they can control them; they're interested in disarming civilian populations so that liberal democracies will be brought to heel by destroying law and order.
