DerManuel reporting that ALL MAJOR Fresno Republicans are rallying to see the ouster of Samuelian from office. Samuelian continues to shun voters, and offer smug retorts to his alleged actions to solicit in seedy parts of Fresno. See his statement below....
Samuelian in dispute with critic
By John Ellis The Fresno Bee (Published Saturday, February 1, 2003, 5:15 AM)

Last week, a person spoke at a Fresno County Republican Central Committee meeting about the professional conduct of Clovis Assembly Member Steve Samuelian. Clayton Smith, a Fresno resident who works in the building industry and is active in local GOP politics, alleged Samuelian manipulated people and was willing to step on anybody to gain power. He talked about actions by Samuelian that some call savvy politics but others consider inappropriate -- especially when aimed at fellow Republicans. Later in the week, David Althausen, Samuelian's Capitol director, called Smith's employer. Althausen wanted a written apology to Samuelian or for Smith to be fired. Smith confirmed the phone call was made, and shared e-mails from his supervisors that addressed the call. Althausen, who was not at the Central Committee meeting, told Smith's bosses that Smith had stormed in, demanded to be heard and, in criticizing Samuelian, said he was speaking on behalf of his employer. Not true, Smith said later, and Jane Parsons, who chairs the Central Committee, agreed. Asked if Smith spoke on behalf of his employer, she said: "Absolutely not." Parsons and other attendees said Smith was on the agenda and was polite. Althausen declined to comment, and Samuelian did not return phone calls. |

SD, do you have any news reports for us from the Samuelian camp? What does he think about all of his supporters turning on him? Update if you can, thanks...
To: Saundra Duffy
Never mind, SS is speaking on KMJ right now, spewing his lame excuse...bye

I'm confused. This is old news. Assemblyman Samuelian has been doing a fine job having survived the media circus and witch hunt.
Let the GOP challengers line up to stab him in the back. The more the merrier. They'll all just cancel each other out.
I heard there's a news conference today by one of the guys who wants to exploit the old news.
I'm not that worried. It's just infuriating that Valley Republicans are more interested in tearing down a true blue conservative SITTING ASSEMBLYMAN than in trying to defeat democraps. Go figure.
Why are you posting this story today, FReeper pal?

Who are you calling a "Fresno RINO"? Steve Samuelian certainly is not a RINO. Who's the RINO?

It has been all over the radio waves since noon. Der Manuel, Manders and a Bee reporter. Samuelian himself was just on. It is very sad that SS is able to spoof his way past his character flaws. He is spoiled goods, and new blood must shot into the vein of CA Republican Politics. IMHO
To: Saundra Duffy
RINO as you know, Republican In Name Only...it is not just taxes and neo-conservatism, but character makes a true Republican. That Saundra is what seperates Republicans from Demoncrats, would you not agree?

Was this the guy caught soliciting, in an area he was caught about 4 yrs previously?

Meanwhile, Sarah Reyes went UNOPPOSED in the last election. She's the GOP's worst nightmare in the Assembly. The Republicans in the Valley can't get enough of the cannibalism. Eating their own. And they love to hate Steve Samuelian, though he's doing an effective job for us in Sacramento. So they let Sarah Reyes have a free ride in the last election. That's the way it goes.
By the way, Mike Der Manouel Jr can KISS MY REAR END.

Affirmative, he was "lost" at 10:00 P.M. while trying to drop off some informational flyers with the Farm Bureau...and the funny thing, he is sticking with that story. All over KMJ right now..LOL
To: JudgeAmint
You are sick. Get your mind out of the gutter and stop kissing Der Manouel's rear-end. It's unbecoming.

Saundra, I am simply asking the ? It is a big story in Fresno. BTW, why was Samuelian having dinner with Henry Perea Jr. the most rabid liberal councilman in Fresno? WHY SD???
To: Saundra Duffy
Kissing rear end? Saundra dear, you are carrying very heavy water buckets for SS. He can not kick enough sand on his character flaws...and frankly, I feel very sorry for his wife and little baby.

Was this the guy caught soliciting, in an area he was caught about 4 yrs previously?Samuelian was not "caught" doing anything. The holier-than-thou crowd THINKS they know what Steve might have been THINKING. That's the story. Now it's all about GOP egos and people not wanting to admit they were wrong. The Central Committee Chair got involved, demanding Steve's resignation BEFORE the investigation was even going. Bill Manders is also a creep for participating in the witch hunt. They make me sick. They have nothing better to do than to grovel in the slime of their own sick minds.

Reyes is in a gerrymandered district, so of course she was unopposed. Yet SS is the rep for 29th district, which has just recovered from the Briggs sellout, and now this? If SS had any decency, he would resign, so efforts to defeat Davis could be pressed forward. Don't you agree SD?
To: JudgeAmint
Duf Sundheim is going to have to put a stop to you creeps trampling on a SITTING CONSERVATIVE ASSEMBLYMAN. The "gang of five" Republicans need to apologize for this mess. Samuelian is doing just fine thank you very much and if you care about his wife and son and unborn child, you will knock this crap off right now!

With all respect, it is SS who has a record for soliciting Prostitutes. He was warned by his loyal supporters to keep clear of areas of known prostitution, yet when he was alone, and at night, he is stopped for driving back and forth in an area known for and watched closely by the police for prostitution.
Character has often been stated, as that which you do when you BELIEVE no one else is watching.
Wouldn't you agree with that Saundra?
This is not about eating our own, because character flawed politicians like SS are not to be coveted or protected. I agree with you on so many matters, but your blind loyalty to this Creighton is bizarre.
To: JudgeAmint
It's none of your business - or mine - why Steve Samuelian was having dinner with Henry Perea. Why do you care?
Bill Manders has a grudge. He's up to his old tricks. This is why I won't listen to KMJ anymore. Bring back MICHAEL SAVAGE!
Next they'll start bashing Mike Briggs. They apparently don't care about the democraps crapping all over us constantly. They'd rather go after Republicans.
Barf alert!
