I said this on a long ago thread, too. It bewilders me. I thought that even if I had to be smuggled in the trunk of a car across the desert that I could get out of Iraq (if I had the money to pay for such an escape). I've been really surprised by how hard it apparently was to get the hell out of dodge. I don't think hardly any of the ones we want have left the country.

I suspect that they are running a guerrilla campaign to try to force the US to leave before an effective gov't can be installed. Then they could overthrow any new gov't and be back in power. Saddam has hidden hundreds of millions of dollars around the world, so these people may think they have the resources to do it.
