Presumably he is will be under sodium penathol, if he isn't already, in a matter of days.

"I said this on a long ago thread, too. It bewilders me. I thought that even if I had to be smuggled in the trunk of a car across the desert that I could get out of Iraq (if I had the money to pay for such an escape). I've been really surprised by how hard it apparently was to get the hell out of dodge. I don't think hardly any of the ones we want have left the country."Maybe the ones who stayed behind are the ones behind most of the uprisings and ambushes.

Isn't this the guy who appeared in the videos with "Saddam" after the bombing started? I believe that they said that was one good indicator that it was the real Saddam because this guy supposedly never left Saddam's side.
Until today, of course.

Avast ye evil fiend and trouble these good people no longer.

I was wondering where ol' Saddam was, given that his bodyguard apparently was caught without him. Either that or we're going to have another big announcement in the near future. :-)

Whalid Fares said that he's Saddam's shadow. He's the one who carries the orders for Saddam.

It is unclear whether Mahmud's capture was related to U.S. raids near Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit. American troops raided two farmhouses and found $8.5 million in American cash, 300 million to 400 million Iraqi dinars and an undetermined amount of British pounds and Euros, said Maj. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of the Army's 4th Infantry Division. The troops also found more than $1 million worth of gems and jewels, he said. These are the same guys who trotted out starving children at the drop of an ultra-liberal's hat (as long as cameras were there), right?

Al-Tikriti was Saddam's personal secretary, national security adviser and senior bodyguardThis pretty much confirms that Saddam is still alive; i.e., he survived the bombings.

To: Seeking the truth
But then why wasn't Hussein captured with his bodyguard? One could make the argument either way. My hope is that al-Tikriti is carrying Hussein's severed nose in his breast pocket, thereby providing DNA proof of his demise. (Don't rain on my parade here.)

Just saw on another thread Pakistan announced the capture of two Al Qaeda terrorists, one of them apparently a fairly prominent player. Pray that the good news continues!
