as he collected his Oscar for Best Documentary for Bowling for Columbine, unleashing a tirade against America’s “fictitious” President George W. Bush.

He called W a "fictitious" president while he collected a Best Documentary Oscar for his FICTITIOUS waste of celluloid.

This is why the libs hate talk radio and the internet. Before the rise of "alternative media", none of this would have seen the light of day. Now middle America can strike back...and its driving the libs nuts.

Well that's one way to take a few thousand words to call someone a stark raving lunatic who would't stick to the truth if his mother's life depended on it, without actually saying so in so many words.

Essentially worthless. Couldn't this nitwit commit more stridently with all the contributing evidence?

“He's going to wake up every day for the rest of his life, and he's going to tell us how he hates everything about this country except his right to hate it. And then we say that we love it and he's going to tell us what naive sheep we are and that he's the true patriot because he hates it and he sees all the problems in it. Yeah, right, Mike. You know something, if my yawn got any bigger they'd have to assign it a hurricane name, okay? “Michael Moore simultaneously represents everything I detest in a human being and everything I feel obligated to defend in an American. Quite simply, it is that stupid moron's right to be that utterly, completely wrong.”

"Dennis Miller"

“The second type you have at these parades seems to be the people who want to mislabel Hitler. Everybody in the world is Hitler. Bush is Hitler, Ashcroft is Hitler, Rumsfeld is Hitler. The only guy who isn't Hitler is the foreign guy with a mustache dropping people who disagree with him into the wood chipper. He's not Hitler.”

I have suggested, and verily believe, that it is the prevalence of the mindless Socialist egalitarian value system, which Moore himself represents, which was responsible for the Columbine massacres. (See Suicidal Rage & School Killings vs. "Something Of Value.")

My explanation goes to the basic psychological dynamics of adolescence; Moore's, to absurd concoctions, which hardly explain the main ingredient--a suicidal rage upon the part of the participants.

It is phenomenal to me how the left just eats up Moore's crapola without a thought. I can understand having a political agenda, but the dishonesty is remarkable.

The facts in the movie are correct

Well, all facts are correct, I would think. The point is that his movie is filled with non-facts being passed off as facts. His 'defense' is very clintonesque.

If Bowling is actually a fictional movie then the people who were abused should be paid since they were mislead into working for free.

A bestselling author on both sides of the Atlantic, Moore can lay claim to being the most influential performer-cum-activist of our times.

If he's the best they've got to offer, then there's nothing for Americans to worry about. What a butt-kissing thing to say, LOL! ..."most influential performer-cum-activist of our times", indeed. LOL!

The reception Moore received for his rant at the Acadamy Awards was the shot to the head of his career. He can still cater to the fringe losers who lap his kind of politics up, but the Great Middle will NEVER take the guy seriously.

To the rest he'll forever be the fat unshaven idiot that got dissed on worldwide television.

At his live show in London last year, which I reviewed, he built an entire segment around his argument — presented not as satire, but as a straight-faced statement of fact — that, if all the hijack victims on September 11 had been black, they would have fought back. Moore argued that, because the passengers were pampered members of the bourgeoisie, accustomed to being waited on at every turn, they did not know how to defend themselves. Now, it takes only a second to realise that there is an obvious flaw in this: we know that once the passengers on the third plane heard about the attacks on the twin towers, they rose up and fought their hijackers.

I guess Moore is too dumb to realise the libertarian answer to his criticism which is that if it wasn't for all the stupid gun laws in North Eastern US states, then the 9/11 victims would have easily repelled the Al Qaeda scumbags. The statist philosophy basically guarantees that a bunch of morally bankrupt psychopaths armed with basic improvised weapons can inflict massive casualties on any obedient, law-abiding, disarmed population.

Besides, Moore is a sicko for criticising the people who died on the hijacked planes, even if he wasn't serious. Anyone think he would have done anything to stop the hijackers? Personally, I think he'd want someone else to deal with them; like most statists/socialists would.

i know that a lot of things he uses are not 100 % correct.
i know as well the next thing you guys will blame me is an "america hater". anyway. i saw a lot more than probl you guys in the world. and i had some fruitful discussions with US americans, other americans (why you userally refer of US is america?), europeans (well i m one), asians (i lived there quite lont), russians and australians.
i made quite good friends which ppl all over the world (including US-americans). but one thing i found, as that you guys use to simplify things extreamly, and watching your mass media, i get the idea that the average american is not able to understand things if the are presented in a correct/neat manner. just you are not used to it. (i m scientist, so i know that kind of problem, as like i need sometimes to explain facts to non-scientists and it is simply not possible without simplifying/changing the facts a little).

so what i wanna say (as well in a simplifies version), is that no matter if you agree or disagree with what he brings in his books and his movie, you need to understand that he brings it in a format which most ppl understand easily. you know even in very serious magazines, or scientific article, you can find one or to detail which are not 100% correct. but thats just not the point, as long it is not changing the message. i wouldnt really consider what he does as a scientific research or something, but more about that he wanna present his worries (which i understand, coz after seeing the world, my conclusion was that no place (in the developed world) is more difficult to stand (in terms of living quality/standart) than US. part of the reason is you high crime rate, low standart in the health-system, high unemployment rate (though the last thing is not only a US problem i admit) and quite serious pollution (go to tokyo a huge city, but still the air is much better than in your cities ...).
i dont hope i was "insulting" your patriotic feelings. but still i think some of you guys should have a bit a "deeper refelction" on what is going on in your own country.
