Attorney, author and WND columnist Ann Coulter's latest book, "Treason" -- even before its official release -- has surpassed Sen. Hillary Clinton's "Living History" on Amazon.com's best-seller list.

Coulter's book, which won't be released officially until Tuesday, currently is No. 3 on the chart, bumping the senator's book to No. 4. Topping sales at Amazon is the latest Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."

As WorldNetDaily reported, the week "Living History" was released it was bumped from the No. 2 spot by a paperback title tying the recent war to Bible prophecy called "Beyond Iraq."

"Treason," a follow-up to Coulter's best-selling "Slander," contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign-policy issue from the fight against communism at home in the early Cold War days to the struggle with the Soviet empire to the current war on terrorism.

"Liberals have a preternatural gift for always striking a position on the side of treason," writes Coulter. "Everyone says liberals love America, too. No, they don't." From Truman to Kennedy to Carter to Clinton, America has contained, appeased, and retreated, she says, often sacrificing America's best interests and security. With the fate of the world in the balance, Coulter argues that liberals should leave the defense of the nation to conservatives.

McCarthy, exonerated by the Venona Papers if not before, was basically right about Soviet agents working for the U.S. government, writes the best-selling author. Hiss turned out to be a high-ranking Soviet spy (who consulted Roosevelt at Yalta). Reagan, ridiculed throughout his presidency, ended up winning the Cold War. And George W. Bush, also an object of ridicule, has by all accounts performed exceptionally in responding to America's newest threats at home and abroad.

My local ShopRite (in Wall Twsp NJ) has the hardcover Hitlery manual front and center in their (small) book area. Nonetheless,I asked when we can expect Ann Coulter's newest book "Treason" on the shelf. She was not aware of the company policy on what books make the shelf but (as she leaned over) she said, if Michael Saveage sold out, count on Anne's book being here.I'll pay the extra $$ to ShopRite instead of other places to encourage the practice. I encourage Monmouth County residents to do the same....JD

I copies some (47 pages) of Dick Morris's book this AM from VOTE.com (A link was posted on a thread.) He certainly doesn't have anything nice to say about his former boss.

The internet has been blamed for a number of things. To reduce book reading by addicts ain't one of 'em. Boy oh boy, must trot off to the Canadian emporium - Coles, order Ann's book. I would imagine that even with the icy glance of Canada's politically correct over one's shoulder, Coles should get it for me.

Do not want to overstay my welcome, but..... Free Republic good for the book trade. It was on this site that I read about a book titled "Camp of the Saints" by Jean Raspail. Off I goes with liberal spouse to Petoskey, Michigan, only 90 miles away. Press there has it. Got my copy. Honest, would never heard of it in a blue moon otherwise. To meander on- if I may, had a Guinness in a pub while there and noticed a book as decor on a shelf . "Five Bells and Blade Bone" by Martha Grimes. Yep, just got it from Coles- a story of old London Town- she is American. Cheers.
