"That crap at Liberty is legalism. "Enforcing a code of conduct is creating an environment. It is not "legalism". Legalism is teaching that your salvation depends on adherence to rules. I can assure you Liberty does not teach legalism even if they do have a strict code of conduct.

Disagree. While legalism is a works salvation, by having pharisee-like regulations that go beyond the basic needs of ensuring some basic Christian morality and trying to keep students sexually pure etc., they are unconsciously teaching that God doesn't love you if you sin and that people do not have the ability...even with the Holy Spirit...to control themselves. Instead, they need ridiculous restrictions to keep themselves in line.
I am a Calvinist, but quite frankly, it is heresy to limit the power of the Holy Spirit like that. In a Christian environment, the members keep eachother accountable and that is a POWERFUL enforcer in itself. A Christian college is a community of believers and that is powerful. They should not need an excessive number of rules from the top, just enough to ensure the community can work together effectively at keeping eachother accountable.
