This got a quick mention this morning(9:20?) on FOXNEWS. At that point it seemed too soon to jump to conclusions.

Posted on Thu, Jun. 26, 2003 Associated Press WASHINGTON - Two U.S. soldiers and their Humvee were missing in Baghdad Thursday, a senior Pentagon official said.
American forces in the Iraqi capital searched for hours for the missing soldiers and their vehicle, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The incident comes amid an increase in attacks on coalition soldiers in Iraq. An American soldier and two Iraqi civilians were killed in other attacks on Thursday.

- Two U.S. soldiers and their Humvee Someone has two hostages and all their gear and Humvee. This is not good news... the bad guys could just drive into a US compound with the missing Humvee.

From the
Boston Globe In a separate incident, a US military vehicle carrying two soldiers was reported missing near Baghdad.
The Humvee with two US soldiers was reported missing yesterday afternoon from an area northwest of Baghdad. The incident could not be immediately confirmed because spokesmen had not received information about it from the Fourth Infantry Division, said Captain Jeff Fitzgibbons.
