I never found out *how* he was actually outed, but I managed to glean the "why" from reading between the lines after the fact. People in the know were dropping ten-ton innuendos every time someone asked "whatever happened to CGEB?". And that question was asked a lot, so there were lots of hints.

he/she/it has quite the reputation all over the place. She and "hmmmmmmmm" have their own forum/website and it's very bizarre because they all seem to be the same person talking to themselves. It's as if it's just one person with many personalities.
