MARKSVILLE - Two state prison employees and another woman face charges of "soliciting for prostitutes" after flashing obscene signs at motorists, Marksville police said.

Two juveniles also were taken into custody in the Friday incident.

Police said the handmade signs read things such as "Will Work for Sex" and "Honk for Big Boobs."

This is bizarre to say the least. So I will speculate that some goofball lawyer put them up to this as a consensual adults and free speech issue. Other than that, I don't know what to make of this.

I think that these women have read and interpreted the Supreme Court ruling on privacy and consenting adults....

This is definitely "Weird News" stuff. Can't believe that these young women are already reacting to the SCOTUS ruling (i.e. legalize sodomy = legalize prostitution). Or could they?

>>Police said the report stated there was no evidence of alcohol use. <<

Thank God for that. . .and the fact that cigarettes weren't involved.

That is probably the most likely explanation then. I wonder if they were reacting to the SCOTUS ruling and were doing it as a matter of public satire. The mere holding up of signs should not make the incident something they could be arrested for until an agreement is made to perform the act and some sort of overt action is made in furtherence of the agreement.

'Will Work For Sex'

The only reason most married men go to work.

sounds like some folks need to lighten up. The whole thing looks like it was just some youngsters goofing around.

soliciting for prostitutes

NOT soliciting for prostitution... the prostitutes hired cute girls to hold signs for their business?

Actually, reading the article, it sounds more like a pretty good college stunt than anything else.

Nicole T. Aymond, 19, of Hessmer, Brandi Lynn Lemoine, 21, of Mansura and Missy Sue Almond, 21, ...
The juveniles were released to their parents.

Juveniles at 21?? While we try 15 years olds as adults? (which I agree with, btw)

I'll teach basic math & reading for a small fee.

Juveniles at 21??

My thoughts exactly! I can't wait to see the new statistics on "Juvenile injured/killed by guns", which will surely include everyone under age 40!
