I seem to recall the massacre at Lubby's and the fact that a woman had locked her gun in her car -- because Lubby's didn't allow guns. IIRC, she lost her parents in the massacre and was later elected to state government, running a pro-gun campaign. I forget her name (and hopefully haven't screwed up the details too much).

The Luby's massacre occurred before (and was a major impetus for the passage of) the Texas concealed carry legislation.

The woman's name is Suzanna Gratia-Hupp; she is a Texas State Rpresentative now, and she is an outspoken and effective voice for the right to keep and most importantly to bear arms.
