LOL - this is fascinating!! Thank you for the post! I wish the media here felt that way about it. Bush is getting pounded by them because of that. The U.S. media is soooo whiney and whimpy when it comes to war. Aside from Reagan we have had so many squishy presidents that the media can't relate to a tough president. They prefer mamby pamby boot lickers for president.

Don't kid yourself. The Japanese media and the book industry in Japan is VERY VERY
anti-Bush. If you go into a major bookstore in Tokyo and look at the books up in the front on disply in "Current Topics", one third are on Bush and literally 90% of them are anti-Bush and most have covers with 'manga' or photos of Bush that are very unflattering. They have pictured him in the mind of the common Japanese as 'mad', war mongering and stupid.
(They'll change their tune when North Korean starts with high explosive nuke testing along the Yellow Sea in the next few months, though.) All the stuff, by Ritter or that a Academy Award dude making fun of Bush are translated into Nihongo and printed and out on the shelves like (snap) THAT!

(Folks, I am NOT in Tokyo right now. So please don't worry about me being nuked by N. Korea. Thanks.)

Such as Jimmy Carter, for example? He's clearly the president of choice for the enemies of America, of freedom, and of democracy. Carter prefers the accolades of the international Leftist elites to all three of the above, and I'd tell him that to his face.

The dems are already slamming Bush for being insensitive.
