YMCA Leader Charged With Child Rape

The assistant director of the Green Hills YMCA teen center is in police custody. David Jones Hill has been charged with four felony counts that include the rape and fondling of a teenage boy.

According to the indictiment, 32-year-old Hill allegedly began to molest a 13-year old boy in 2001. Two other alleged victims have come forward but the statute of limitations has ended. The alleged sexual acts took place at the Green Hills YMCA, where he had worked with teenagers for the past 15 years. All of his alleged victims were teenage boys, and police say that the instances took place during overnight stays where Hill would position his sleeping bag next to the teens. Adult teen leaders came forward to the staff with concerns about Hill's behavior, after which he was terminated on May 13th.

On May 14th a letter was sent home to nearly 200 parents with children who had come into contact with Hill in the last three years. Green Hills YMCA members are shocked by the charges, but many said that they're sure the staff will take steps to prevent this from happening again.

Police are urging Green Hills YMCA members to talk with their children about any contact that they had with Hill, and if any inappropriate behavior is suspected call the police department's Youth Services Division at 862-7417. Hill remains in police custody under $75,000 bond.

i woudl just like to say that none of you know ANY details on this case and it pisses me off how the media has spread the truth on this issue. David Jones is a very great man and just because he has done this, it does not make him gay or a bad person, ues it was wrong but if any of you knew him you woudl agree with me.
