Support Iranian Students In Their Quest For Freedom & Democracy

The young people are investing their lives for freedom in Iran. All they are asking from you is to invest only a few hours of your time.

On July 9th, 2003, the fourth anniversary of the Islamic Regime's savage massacre of the university Students in Iran, the Coalition for the Pro-democracy Iranian groups in cooperation with International Harmony are organizing a demonstration in solidarity with Iranian student's Struggle for freedom. the demonstration of July 9, 2003 will focus on the Islamic Regime's denial of unalienable rights of Iranian people to liberty, justice and the pursuit of happiness. The demonstration of July 9, 2003 in Washington D.C. will also place emphasis on condemning the Iranian Regime's cardinal standing in sponsoring radical Islamic Ideology and International acts of Terroism.

Place: The United States Capitol Square, Capitol Building, West Front Area. Washington D.C.

Senators Sherman, and Brownback said they will be in attendence to speak to a very large mix of Iranian-Americans and other supporters of Democracy in Iran.

Satellite Television has reported other Demonstrations initiated by Iranian-Americans in Houston, Dallas, San Diego, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Seattle, Chicago, most countries in Europe, and Australia. All groups of people will be in attendence to show their vocal support.

I'd prefer Court Trials in front of international Cameras with documentation of all their crimes including torture, rape, and murder of tens of thousands of innocent Iranians.

Including, documentation proving that the hiijacking of the revolution by the Mullahs was funded by an external alliance promised the riches of the country.

Khomeini was in France for many years as an exile.

This is great.

We need to remember that thousands of Iranian people held candle light vigils in support and sympathy for the US after 9-11, while many in the rest of the Middle East danced on the street.

Following the terrorist attacks on New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania, many in Iran showed their support for the victims with vigils and prayers. Thousands attend candlelight vigil in Tehran.

Is that accurate? The 2300 block of what street? Also, I can't locate "St. Phillip" or "Westernet" streets on the online maps. Should this be 2300 Post Oak (or some other north-south running street) between San Felipe (pronounced feh-lee-pay) and Westheimer?

Demonstrating is fine. But to overthrow the govt. you have to overthrow the govt.

That takes VIOLENCE.

Thus far the people of this region seem to have a strong propensity for the type of violence which kills women and children, such as suicide bombs. And burning flags.

The type of violence to get freedom is as yet, aa totally unknown quality with them.

The proof will be revealed soon. How many are willing to pay the price?

True, many people OUTSIDE Iran want change. But they have left the scene of the crime. It won't be their blood given.

Inside the country, the citizens MUST take up weapons, and challenge the Police and soldiers, to kill them.

Make a revolution of this thing, not just a peaceful street demonstration.

I'm going to get the exact location for everyone by tomorrow. I've been trying to call the Satellite TV station for a while now. Unfortunately theres no on-line listing, what i lised was what was announced on the air and as you know, it's difficult to get precise name of streets when they're stated so quickly. I'm sure it's saint felipe and westihemer and 2300 is involved, but i want to find the precise location.

There will be 63 different cities demonstrating in support during the July 7th-9th period. Absolutely amazing!

Ralph Bunche Park and Dag Hammarskjold Plaza are four or five blocks apart, with no real space to demonstrate in between. Will the demonstration be in both places?

I don't think I can make this one but I encourage people to go, and to carry signs urging a revolution toward representative democracy and a free-market economy (rather than the socialist state that is all too likely to be the outcome of the revolution is successful).

Demonstrations in Atlanta were good we had a turnout of about 100-120 people in front of the CNN Center. Most people supported what we were demonstarting for, alot of people were honking.

What was interesting is that a huge 'peace rally' was set to go on about 5-6 o'clock. Virtually all the members of the rally stood across the street. Finally a couple of them joined, but majority just stood and watched.

Out of the hundreds who passed, only two seemed to have a problem with our demonstrations. And i think that is because they either a) don't have any information about what's going on Iran or b) have the radical view that all Muslims are good dead, no matter how pro-American they're. The group was a mix of Muslims, Christians, Bahais, Jews and Zoroastrians--religion really doesn't matter one bit here. Everyone in unity yelled 'DOWN WITH THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC'.

Regardless the support the great--alot of honking, thumbs up, and the negativity was extremely little--2 people.

That's the news for demonstrations in Atlanta--there will be another one on Tuesday from 5-9 with live Music front of CNN center if anyone is interested.
