The front page of http://www.truthout.org includes a link to the David Corn article "Of Lies and Leaks." No one else seems to be remembering it now, but isn't this article of Corn's the one which broke the story about Wilson and Plame?

Novak published the information, but, as far as I know, it was Corn who first pointed out that Plame's cover had been revealed, that a crime may have been committed, and that something strange might have been going on. I think Corn's article is what triggered the media extravaganza we're currently seeing.

Correction: The truthout.org page links to an Oct. 4 Corn article on the same subject, not to Corn's July 16 article, which is the one that essentially broke the story.

I believe Corn on July 16th did elaborate well beyond what Novak had said. The same goes for Pincus; Novak is just getting all the heat.

Wolfstar analyzes Corn's article on a thread entitled :

Set up? Anatomy of the contrived Wilson "scandal"

...and raises some good questions about where Corn got his info.

Update :

Not it is Corn who is also involved in the publishing of the fishy material from former MI6 operative Christopher Steele and his “Golden Showers” dossier.
