In addition, the campaign will put up all the donors who gave less than $200, and there will be about 80,000 of those (and, remember, that listing those donors is NOT required by the FEC), and the campaign will get to about 80% of those listed in that category with full information, which is extraordinary.

There goes my 199 dollar check to the campaign. This is an incredibly stupid move on their part. I work very hard to keep my personal information out of the pulbic domain. I am not going to simply send them a check so they can post my home address and employer on the internet.

Also, it's not a very big deal for me, but a lot of people won't give knowing that their co-workers can look up their political contributions.

Whoever thought of this is an outright idiot and should be fired immediately.

After the campaign, the info is available from the FEC. FOI Act requires it. If you've given before, it's a matter of public record. Bush is just making it easier to get to the information. It's not consequential.
