I'm sure this poor schlub is being duped by our government. Anyone can get a paper printed up to look like this; pay the guy in Iraq and you've got a story.
Uhhhh, do I need to put a sarcasm tag on this?

There's the best part of the whole story - it's a Gore-bot. But, knowing demonrats, they will find a way to discredit this guy...

PING.
Federal appellate Judge Gilbert Merritt, who is currently in Iraq, said an Iraqi lawyer brought him documents that included the name of an Iraqi officer in that country's embassy in Pakistan who was described as "responsible for the coordination of activities with the Osama bin Laden group." "It seems to me to be strong proof that the two were in contact and conspiring to perform terrorist acts," Merritt, a Democrat and longtime family friend of Al Gore, wrote in a dispatch for The Tennesseean newspaper - charges similar to those previously reported by The Weekly Standard.
"Until this time, I have been skeptical about these claims," wrote the Cincinnati-based judge. "Now I have changed my mind."
Ice, lots and lots of ice.

A federal judge helping to rebuild Iraq's judicial system says he's come up with an intriguing document linking Saddam Hussein to Osama bin Laden. Cool. Looks like judges are starting to replace executive powers as well. Can they do the business and economy?

The Tennessean a few weeks late? BTW, Grampa Dave, saw the story on FOX this morning. Better late than never :)

600 names of "regime persons," Looks like a good list to work from in getting more information.

I'm glad this was printed in a NY newspaper and not only in a paper in what some consider flyover country that could be overlooked or ignored.

Have the lame-stream media picked this story up yet or are they still sniffing a yellow-cake scandal from Niger?
