A freind of mine, loved his wife to nearly worshipping her. He gave her all kinds of earthly things he could afford. He wasn't wealthy, but he did the best he could. She married him, knowing he didn't have money and finer things. She came from a similar background, they were a match! When you saw the two of them together, you can tell they were still infatuated with each other. They had 2 children, a girl and a boy. One day, it seems as if she (wife) woke up and wanted more! She met a wealthier man, left her husband (my buddy) and then filed for divorce. After 10 years of marriage, and him staying faithful even to this day! She petitioned for custody and won, based on the larger income of her newly found sugar-daddy. He is left flipping a $1000 a month child support bill. He only makes $2500 a month. Why should he be left paying a child support bill, when it is she who left? It was she who broke the vow/promise to him, not the other way around. Why did the courts show favor to a wondering/lieing/cheating wife, yet punished a man who was commited and faithful?

I fail to see the logic...

This very same situation happened to my brother. However, he got the best revenge...

When his daughter turned 18, she told her mother that she hated her and the way she treated her, and moved back home to be with her father(my brother).

Some things take time to work out for the best.

One answer-no fault divorce. Bork would say this is one of the downfalls of our society.

"I fail to see the logic..."

It's simple: He was the man.

Men are the fall guys.
Women of today are selfish and self centered.
Who ends up suffering? The kids.
While Mom is finding her way to be self loving and going for something "better", the kids lose their daddy.
It is soooo sad.
Daddy is needed by those kids. Whether women like it or not.

Cheating has been going on since the dawn of time by both sexes, claiming otherwise is foolish..... there may be a more casual overall attitude by some today than in the past regarding sex, but its hardly unique or unprecidented.

Infidelity, etc.. has been around forever and sure aren't going to stop anytime soon. I have seen men throw awy 15 or 20 year relationships with wonderful women and several kids, so they could play sugar daddy to some 22 year old... I have seen women walk away from good solid men for money... its not something that is distinct or unique to this period in time.

Only real difference is now, you can divorce, while in the past, you stayed married while all the hanky pankey was going on.

Divorce laws are screwed up. Women (and men) should be penalized for "trading in" spouces. Sorry but I do not care how long you have been married, if you are attempting to "cash out" your marriage like an insurance policy that should have consequences.

There should be universality in a child support formula, no more than 30% of any income paycheck. (this includes back support)

The biggest problem I see in court? Feminist judges, women can do no wrong and men can do no right. This is not based on a personal case, this is based on watching case after case go in front of certain judges.

Men are abusive, neglectful deadbeats. All of them. Every last one. Even you! If you say otherwise, that just proves that you're in 'denial', and even less fit (if such were possible) to come within 5 miles of any child. Unless supervised by a licenced, female social worker.
